The sale will be conducted as a Helmsman-style auction, meaning that all lots are for sale simultaneously. The sale will be hosted via the Yourbid platform, accessed via the website - www.yourbid.org . Once registered, online buyers will receive a buyer number via email which will automatically accompany each bid placed. All live bids will be visible online at all times.
Online bidding will commence on 8th August 2024 at 10am and run until the conclusion of the sale on 15th August 2024 at 3pm once there has been a period of at least two minutes without a bid being received on any lot. If another bid is placed on any lot during the two-minute period, then time is extended, where bidding is open on all lots. Final time will be called clearly, and discretion will be used to ensure all buyers are satisfied. We would encourage all buyers to register 24 hours in advance of the conclusion of the sale and place practice bids on our demonstration lots ahead of the sale day.

Terms & Conditions
The sale will be conducted in pounds. Bidding increments will automatically set to the following unless overwritten by the purchasers via Yourbid:
• Cattle - £200
• Semen - £5 (bidding is per straw)
Minimum bid values have been suggested by an independent breeder based on pedigree and physical assessment. Notice to buyers – all purchases to be settled before removal of stock from Blackford Farm. Any party successfully bidding on a lot will be deemed to be liable for that account. Invoices with bank details will be issued via email on the evening of 15th August 2024.
Collection & Delivery
All stock can be left at Blackford, at the buyer’s risk, until 30th August 2024. After which date animals can be kept for longer by separate agreement at which there will be a cost involved. Please discuss your requirements with Anne MacPherson
**Due to unforeseen circumstances collection will now not be available during the weekend 17th/18th August.**
Semen stored at UK Sires and Genus will be transferred to the purchaser’s account at the relevant store, dispatch and delivery is at the purchaser’s expense. If you are a successful bidder, please ensure that you have a storage account in place.
Semen stored at Blackford is only to be handled and delivered by Stevie Rolfe (Telephone 07850 184313 or 01555 841025) at the purchaser’s expense.

The herd is Johnes Level 1, BVD Accredited, IBR Accredited and TB4
All animals over 10months old will be vaccinated for BVD and Marker vaccinated (inactive) for IBR prior to the sale.
