Skin Solace started out as two storage boxes, then grew to a shelving unit in my kitchen and then grew some more to take over a spare room to now having a home of its own.
I developed Skin Solace out of need for a product that could soothe my daughter’s sensitive skin with clear labelling that I didn’t have to google to understand. I began researching natural plant oils and butters and decided to make simple but effective products for my family.
In 2020 I re-branded Skin Solace with a look and feel which captured the quality of the products and exuded luxury. Since then, the business has grown with successful popup shops in John Lewis stores and other locations in Nottingham, London and Leeds, evidencing what the brand and products can achieve when in a retail setting.
Skin Solace is a handmade skincare & hand poured candle business, a lifestyle brand which encourages the end user to engage in a balanced self-care routine, it is for those who lack time for themselves but want something of excellent quality, something luxury but convenient. My products are appealing to all the senses and most importantly, they are good for you with fantastic skin and mind benefits. I have worked hard to ensure my product formulations offer the best skin benefits and are worthy of a high-end status. Your customers can take solace in knowing there are no chemicals, no SLS or parabens in Skin Solace product only plant-based goodness gentle enough for the most delicate skin.
Skin Solace provides everything one might need to create a good self-care routine by taking everyday occurrences and transforming them into moments of indulgence. With the addition of a Skin Solace soap a shower is elevated form an ordinary shower to one of indulgence which one will find difficult to end.
My handmade skin care products are packed with the finest oils, plant butters and botanicals to leave one’s skin feeling cleansed, moisturised, and nourished. Essential oils bring the added extra as they soothe the mind of stress and anxiety to induce feelings of uplift and stability and they also bring great skin benefits, creating a great way to start and end the day.

HOW TO WHOLESALE
Please navigate your way to the Wholesaler tab in the Skin Solace website where you will be asked to register the details of your business. Here you will be able to download and return a signed agreement between yourself and Skin Solace which sets out the terms of our business relationship.
Once registered you will be able to place your order via the portal and once payment is confirmed your order will be freshly produced to give you the maximum shelf life and dispatched with a lead time of 2 to 4 weeks generally. Retailers will benefit from a reduced RRP of 30-40% depending on the product and free marketing on Skin Solace platforms about all retail outlets.

While plant oils and herbs have been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years, aromatherapy is believed to have originated in 1928 when a French chemist, René-Maurice Gattefossé accidentally burnt his hand. In reaction to the burn, Gattefossé plunged his hand into the nearby
vat of lavender oil. When the burn healed quickly and he was left with no scar, he felt compelled to investigate the oil further.
FOR BATHING
Skin Solace soaps, bath bombs & scrubs are formulated to be gentle on the skin but strong enough to clean and cleanse leaving your skin moisturised and nourished.

My handmade soaps are packed with the finest oils, plant and fruit butters and botanicals to leave one’s skin feeling cleansed, moisturised, and nourished. Essential oils bring the added extra as they soothe the mind of stress and anxiety a great way to start and end the day and also have amazing skin benefits.
The range currently consists of 15 different handmade soaps - see page 6 & 7 for scents.
PURE SOAP
Pure soaps are formulated to be deeply moisturising as they are infused with powerful oils like Macadamia Seed Oil, and Jojoba See oil which has amazing skin benefits.
BUTTER BOMBS
Skin Solace Bath Bombs are Pure Indulgence. They smell amazing as they are infused with a beautiful blend of essential oils to sooth away stress and tension. Added to that, they contain nuggets of cocoa butter to truly nourish and moisturise your skin too. With the addition of flower petals these butter bombs are pure indulgence.

BODY SCRUBS
This my friend is a wonderful addition to your self care routine. It smells lovely and is gentle but effective in removing dead skin cells as it is made with super moisturising ingredients.

SHAMPOO
The environment is at the fore of our minds and many of us are making conscious efforts to reduce their carbon footprints. Shampoo bars are handmade and are presented and reusable aluminium tin and again contain no harmful chemicals. They are made with real botanicals oils and plant-based butters to offer your customers the best in hair and scalp care.
Shampoo bars are good for all hair types and hair lengths.
Shampoo bars DO NOT contain SLS/SLES (sodium laurel sulfate/sodium Laureth sulfate) or other harmful chemicals! SLS/SLES can cause dry, itchy and irritated scalp. It can also dry out your hair, and contribute to hair loss, especially if you shampoo every day!

Skin Solace beard oil is formulated to soften and condition beard hair and be deeply moisturising and healing for the skin beneath. Added to this nourishing oil blend is and a soothing essential oil blend to bring further skin benefits to both hair and skin.

BODY BUTTER
All Skin Solace body butters are made with the best quality ingredients and with a lot of care and attention to detail.
Butters are blended rather than whipped to maintain a butter like consistency which melts on contact with skin.
This rich skin food will keep your customers skin healthy, nourished and feeling amazing all day. Made with Shea Butter and Argan Oil known for their skin nourishing qualities with capabilities to reach the deep layers of the Epidermis, your customers will certainly see the benefits after 28 days of use when skin renews.
COCOA BODY BUTTER
This body butter is made with unrefined cocoa butter meaning that it contains the maximum amount of skin nourishing goodness. Scented with Ylang Ylang essential oil this cocoa butter is like no other as it protects and nourishes the driest and most sensitive skin types also with its capabilities to reach though the Epidermis to the Dermis, the deeper layer of the skin.

LOTION BAR
Skin Solace lotion bars smell divine as they are made with unrefined cocoa butter which does not dilute the natural chocolate aroma. Added to the cocoa butter is sweet orange essential oil and together transforms the aroma into chocolate orange. Made with three simple ingredients they are perfect in the cooler months to be kept in your bag to add moisture when needed. The arrive in a convenient aluminium tip which is small enough to pit into a handbag or to be kept by a skin to be used after hand washing.
AROMA COLLECTION
FACIAL OIL
This emollient facial oil provides a concentrated boost of intensive moisture to comfort your customer’s skin.
This delicate blend of oils such as Cucumber Seed Oil, Lemon Seed Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil with added vitamin E absorbs quickly and is immediately moisturising. With consistent use this lightweight formula softens and conditions the skin and protects your skin from sun or cold weather keeping your skin soft and supple.

SKIN SOLACE SIGNATURE BLENDS
I formulated these blends to add something extra special to the range. These blends either induce feelings of good mood or support relaxation and calmness. Essential Oils have been used for hundreds of years to treat heath conditions and there is wide research speaking of the benefits of using them topically or by inhalation.
LEVITY
This is a beautiful blend of essential oils with top citrus tones for cheer and uplift, with sweet, balancing middle tones and a soothing, comforting, and romantic base tone. This blend is perfect for a chilled evening or when there is a need for comfort and or balance.
LORDLINESS
This is a beautiful blend of essential oil with top citrus tones for cheer and uplift, with sweet, balancing middle tones and with a soothing comforting and romantic base tone. This blend is perfect for chilled evening or when there is a need for comfort and balance.
MOXIE
Moxie is a blend is the blend of uplift, with top citrus not for purifying and cleansing, and with middle herbal and sweet tones for uplift and stability. The aroma is great in the morning to support good mood and balance throughout the day.
PROFUSE
Profuse is the blend to unwind with refreshing woody top notes, balancing middles tones and a soothing romantic base. This blend is great in the evening however with the addition of Clary Sage this blend with get you thought those tough days.
RIVETED
Riveted is the blend for calmness and for moments when focus and concentration are needed with herby sweet middle notes this blend is warming and purifying.
