Having a few tried and tested activities or methods at their disposal can help teachers feel more comfortable with teaching. It also allows them to make adjustments when necessary. A teaching rut is a place where the sense of perspective doesn’t exist. It’s a place where the endlessness of teaching makes one feel like they are doing it for the longest time. 1. Start Class Differently With some of your groups, start the class by asking the kids if they have any news to share. This strategy works with all ages of students. It’s a new, fresh and unexpected experience for them. It can inject some energy into the class and the students. 2. Use New Sources For some teachers, the internet is a great source of new ideas to try beyond the usual. Instead of searching for basic articles, look for articles written by other teachers. It can remind you how powerful collaboration can be. https://annamacko.co/how-to-get-out-of-a-teaching-rut/
