In fact, a massive 72% of people own a smartphone, and that figure is constantly rising, up 14% in the last 10 months. Smart phones provide extreme convenience for the users and are a brilliant way for people to keep in touch from wherever they are in the world. However, they also pose dangers, often the cause of distraction, procrastination, and accidents. Figures show that 40% of smartphone users have walked into something whilst using their device, and 60% have dropped their phone on their face whilst reading something on their screen.
