Whether it’s due to the recent pandemic, personal choice, anxiety, or loss, people of all ages and backgrounds have a unique experience with loneliness. With the rise and innovations within technology and online spaces, it has become easier to perpetuate one’s loneliness.
Lonely Together is based on the premise, that we all experience and deal with loneliness differently. Each zine features a character who has their own quirks, attributes, likes, and dislikes that respond to their unique forms of loneliness.
Issue 1: White Rabbit is delicate and a bit lazy. She has been doing Sex work for 2 years and has really made a name for herself in the industry, so she quit her day job at the call center. You may think she’s full of herself since her looks earn her a paycheck, but White Rabbit tries to avoid looking in the mirror at all costs and she NEVER looks at any of the content she makes. She spends all her time playing video games online. Sometimes she tunes in to Little Prince’s streams to cheer him on.
