(СЕМЕНЦОВА-ОГИЕВСКАЯ) Родилась в Москве. Окончила сценарно-киноведческий факультет ВГИК (1977, мастерская И.Долинского и Н.Кладо). Работала редактором Центральной студии документальных фильмов (1977–1983), внештатным корреспондентом журналов «Советский экран», «Советский фильм» (1983–2002), зав. литературной частью в Московском муниципальном театре на Арбате (1990–1992); продюсер рекламного отдела на телеканале REN-TV (1992–2002). Написала сценарии более чем к 10 документальным фильмам. С 2003 - генеральный директор киностудии «Параджаноф фильм», продюсер. С 2006 - режиссер документального кино.

Фильм-притча, поэтический рассказ в форме диалога двух детей, Зарины и Алана, погибших в Беслане и Цхинвале. Давние сказания аланов и трагические события наших дней оживают в пластике актеров обрядового театра на фоне «города мертвых», уникального исторического памятника XIV века.
A movie parable, a poetic story in the form of a dialogue of two children Zarina and Alan who perished in Beslan and Tskhinval. The ancient tales of the Alans and the recent tragic events spring to life in the acting of performers of the folk theatre against a background of the “town of the dead”, the unique historical monument of the XIVth century.

MARIA SEMENTSOVA (SEMENTSOVA-OGIEVSKAYA) Born in Moscow. Graduated from the department of scriptwriting and film studies of the VGIK (1977, class of I.L.Dolinsky, N.N.Klado). Worked as an editor at the Central Studio of documentaries (1977-1983), freelance correspondent for the magazines “Sovetsky Ekran”, “Sovetsky Film” (1983-2002), chief of the literature department at the Moscow Municipal Theatre in Arbat (1990-1992), producer of advertising division at the channel REN-TV (1992-2002). She wrote scripts for more than 10 documentaries. Since 2003 has been the General Manager of the film studio “Paradzhanof Film”, producer. Since 2006 has been a director of documentaries.
