THE FILM CITY PROJECT
• The Film City is slated to span 1,000 acres in Sector 21, with the initial phase covering 230 acres at an estimated cost of 1,510 crore. ₹

BAYVIEW PROJECTS LLP AND BHUTANI GROUP
• The facility will feature state-of-the-art studios, production houses, a film academy, and entertainment zones, providing comprehensive infrastructure for both domestic and international filmmakers.
• The consortium of Bayview Projects LLP and Bhutani Group secured the project by offering an 18% revenue share to the Uttar Pradesh government, surpassing bids from other contenders, including T-Series and consortiums led by actor Akshay Kumar and producer KC Bokadia.

EIGHT-YEAR MORATORIUM PERIOD
• As per the agreement, the developers will begin sharing revenue with the government after an eight-year moratorium period. The project will also include essential infrastructure such as an electrical substation, sewage treatment plant, water tanks, and an energy center.
• A 12-meter-wide setback line will be implemented to maintain proper spacing between buildings, adhering to urban planning norms.

DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES
• In line with sustainable development practices, the project mandates the establishment of a film institute and obtaining GRIHA 4-Star or IGBC Gold certification. These certifications are crucial for green buildings, ensuring minimal ecological impact and reduced carbon footprint during construction.
• Expressing his enthusiasm, Boney Kapoor stated, “I always dreamt of having a film studio of my own someday. I have got it now. So far, I have shot three of my films in UP, which will soon become a hub of filmmaking.” He emphasized the project’s potential to attract both Indian and international filmmakers, offering comprehensive facilities that rival global standards.
YEIDA
• With the layout plan approved by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), construction is poised to begin imminently. The developers are coordinating with government officials to finalize a date for the foundation-laying ceremony, anticipated to occur soon.
