RESUME.
adapting domesticities
location: mananchira, calicut
typology: residential design
site area: 350 m2
The site is located in a city called mananchira and is surrounded by a pond, neighbourhood facilities like school, railway station and other amenities. The clients are a grocery store owner and his family who wants to adapt their mode of work into their living due to some unforeseen conditions.
The narration of the client demands for a kitchen garden, spaces which can have multiple uses for each member of the family, spill out spaces for break and an easy access to the grocery and their home. The design has been put forth after play of the vertical and horizontal planes and a volumetric exploration of the massing.

location: palayam,trivandrum, kerala
typology: library_public infrastructure
site area: 1800 m2
Trivandrum is the administrative capital of the Indian state Kerala and is housing important ministries and offices. Trivandrum is undergoing a tremendous transformation. Palayam is one of the major activity centers in the city and the administrative center. Cluster of public buildings, religious buildings, cultural monuments and commercial buildings encircle the area.
The new and redesigned library is to be viewed as a respectable and high quality institution which responds to the culture, behavior and needs of the Trivandrum public. The architectural design of the library should be LIBERAL but only enough to be able to respect the intention of a good public library and LIBERAL ENOUGH to include the good intentions of the public. The FACADE being one of the most important exterior elements sets expectations and defines the feel of the overall structure.
