Non EU countries: It is obligatory for students from non EU countries to have a residence permit/visa before coming to Slovenia - it doesn't matter how long they will study here. Students must apply for a temporary residence permit at the Slovenian embassy, consular or diplomatic mission at home or in the nearest country. After arriving to Maribor, you need to confirm your residence at the Office for Foreigners.
