natural formation of rocks + water
rock lifts itself up to allow water to pass
the condition that this forms becomes the facade
the skylights and nature of the ceiling aim to serve as a guide through the space, while evoking the the sensation of stumbling upon light filtering through a cave passage.
the curved walls are meant to evoke the atmosphere of the caves that sit adjacent to the site. the unexpected and tight nature of the curves aim to immerse the visitor into the space, as caves would.
the cinema resembles a cavernous destination, where visitors are enveloped in darkness, stripped of natural light, and fully immersed within an enclosed space.
