E SCAPE FOCUS

LOCATION - HIMACHAL PRADESH

The FOCUS ESCAPE recreational habitat envisioned for this project is a holiday home, serving as a haven for one’s favorite role model, be it an artist or a sports person. Spanning an area between 300 sq.m. to 500 sq.m., the design theme revolves around seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces. Bridging the first and second year design studio exercises, it aims to advance the understanding of ‘Design as a Process’. This project emphasizes module-based learning, delving into various aspects that stimulate the holistic design process.

A ROLE MODEL AS TO BE SELECTED FROM WHOM A BUNGLOW IS TO BE DESIGNED. MY ROLE MODEL WAS SAURAV SINHA AS IS A PROFFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER, AND MY HOBBY IS PHOTOGRAPHY WHICH WAS INSPIRED FROM HIM,HE CURRENTLY STAYS IN MUMBAI.

THE SITE CHOSEN IS KULLU, HIMACHAL HE HAS CHOSEN KULLU BECAUSE, HE SAID THE TYPE OF CONTENT WHICH HE CREATES CAN BE CREATED IN BETTER WAY IN KULLU, HE CAN EXPLORE MORE PLACES FOR MAKING VIDEOS AND TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS AND ATMOSPHERE IS GOOD AND THE CLIMATE IS COOL USUALLY.

Phase two of the brick campus transformation into a school of film institute introduces specialized facilities and infrastructure tailored to the unique needs of film education. This expansion encompasses state-of-theart soundstages, editing suites, screening rooms, and production workshops, seamlessly integrated within the existing architectural framework. With a focus on enhancing student engagement and professional development, phase two aims to establish the campus as a premier destination for aspiring filmmakers to hone their craft.

A NETWORK OF STAIRCASES GOES ALONG THE CENTRAL OPEN SPACE CONNECTING THE CAPMPUS VISUALLY AND MAKING IT ACCESSIBLE VERTICALLY PHASE TWO OF BRICK CAMPUS FOR FILM INSITUTE, PUNE MAHARASHTRA

THE FLOOR PLATES ARE STAGGERED INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY, WITH OVERHANGS EXTENDING ON THE SOUTH FOR SHADING AND PROJECTIONS ON THE NORTH TO GAIN THE NORTH LIGHT, RESULTING IN FORMATION OF A DYNAMIC CENTRAL ATRIUM.
