Anime “Sorairo Utility”3rd Key Visual and New Staff Information Revealed!

The third key visual for the anime Sorairo Utility has been revealed!

It features the three main characters: Minami Aoba, who is searching for her own “special kind of special,” Haruka Akane, a natural-born golfing genius, and Ayaka Hoshimi, who aspires to become an influencer, gathered around a golf ball marked with “HAM.” Surrounding them are other unique characters from the series, including Minami’s classmate Izumi Akina, the trio of golf range regulars—Masao Tadokoro (nicknamed Masa), Chosuke Tanabe (nicknamed Cho), and Tetsuhiro Tanaka (nicknamed Tetsu)—as well as a mysterious girl seen from behind. The dynamic, vibrant composition of the key visual presents a fresh energy unlike previous visuals.

The third round of staff information has also been announced. The color design is handled by Hitoki Takeda, the art director is Yoshitaka Kudo, the director of photography is Wu Jiann-horng, and the editing is jointly managed by Kengo Shigemura and Ayaka Sato. Additionally, daisuke horita is responsible for music and sound direction, while music production is undertaken by Yostar Pictures Sounds, ZENTA STUDIO. Fans can look forward to the broadcast Set to come in January 2025 with great anticipation!

I’m gonna end up graduating as a nameless “Townsperson A.”

Minami Aoba was troubled. She had no particular strengths or passions. Is it okay for her high school life to end like this, as a background character?

She jumps out of school and searches for her own “Special Something” alone.

By chance, she ends up at a nearby golf practice range. There, she meets Akane Haruka, who works part-time, and grasps a golf club — a “Utility.”

That was the encounter between Minami and golf.

Winning at play isn’t the only thing about golf! Everything related to golf is enjoyable!

Together with the genius golfer Haruka and Ayaka Hoshimi, who aims to become an influencer, seeking the moment when they can become the “protagonist”!

As a super beginner, Minami swings her club again today.

The long-awaited anime series adaptation of the hit manga SAKAMOTO DAYS is heading to Netflix on January 11, 2025

“FLOWER AND ASURA” JOINS HIDIVE’S WINTER 2025 LINE-UP

AMC Network’s HIDIVE revealed today that the new slice of life drama Flowers and Asura will stream exclusively in North America, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand as part of the streaming service’s slate of Winter 2025 simulcasts next year. The series is adapted from the popular manga by Ayano Takeda, the beloved novelist known for her signature work Sound! Euphonium.

“The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei: He Just Solves All the Mysteries” is officially set to begin airing in April 2025. Along with this exciting news, the first key visual, teaser trailer, and the cast for Kanna Kusakabe and Akihiko Chuzenji have been revealed.

The story follows Kanna Kusakabe, a female student who encounters Akihiko Chuzenji, a newly appointed literature teacher at her school. Together, they face a series of supernatural incidents in a school setting, creating a unique blend of youthful drama and supernatural mystery. The anime is a prequel to Natsuhiko Kyogoku’s renowned Hyakki Yako novel series, which has surpassed 10 million copies in circulation, and is based on an original spin-off manga illustrated by Aki Shimizu that explores the high school teacher era of Kyogokudo.

The first key visual depicts Kanna Kusakabe and Akihiko Chuzenji standing back-to-back against the backdrop of a retro bookstore illuminated by the setting sun. The opening theme song for the anime “Sorairo Utility” has been decided as “Be the hero! feat. Airi Suzuki” by Masayoshi Oishi! Featuring Airi Suzuki on vocals, this duet radiates pure joy, with lyrics, composition, and arrangement all handled by Masayoshi Oishi !

The third trailer, featuring this uplifting opening theme song, has also been released. It depicts the journey of protagonist Minami Aoba, who discovers golf and meets Haruka Akane, a naturally talented golfer, and Ayaka Hoshimi, an aspiring influencer. Together, they embark on a quest to find their own unique “special something”.

Through the universal language of golf, transcending age and gender, the story captures the growth of these three characters. Be sure to check out this inspiring journey!

Being born into a family of golfers, with professional golfer parents and a younger brother who’s now a teaching pro, I grew up in a true golfing household. I feel like I’ve finally found my own way to connect with golf, and it gives me a sense of doing something meaningful for my family.

“Be the hero!”—Oishi-san made an absolutely incredible song again... (laughs). Its unforgettable melody, empowering lyrics, and refreshing vibe that brings to mind a sunny fairway are simply remarkable. Singing it has given me such a boost in self-confidence!

By chance, she ends up at a nearby golf practice range. There, she meets Akane Haruka, who works part-time, and grasps a golf club — a “Utility.”

That was the encounter between Minami and golf.

Winning at play isn’t the only thing about golf! Everything related to golf is enjoyable!

Together with the genius golfer Haruka and Ayaka Hoshimi, who aim to become an influencer, seeking the moment when they can become the “protagonist”!

■What is “Kinnikuman” ?

The original manga “Kinnikuman” was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1979 to 1987 with 387 episodes. “Kinnikuman II Sei” has been serialized in “Weekly Playboy” since 1998. “Kinnikuman” and “Kinnikuman II Sei” have sold more than 77 million copies in total. In 2011, “Kinnikuman” resumed serialization for the first time in 24 years, and in 2013 the series reached 100 volumes.

Based on the popular manga series serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, the anime series “Kinnikuman” was first broadcast in 1983 and soon became a social phenomenon, widely recognized for its derived capsule toy “Kinkeshi”. The animated sequel in July 2024, produced by Production I.G., marks the first in 32 years. The anime “Tohai - Ura Rate Mahjong Tohai Roku” released a new trailer Video! 2nd season-ending theme song will be “Enako × Kayoko Kusano”.

The fourth trailer video for the “Tohai - Ura Rate Mahjong Tohai Roku” has been released. The second season of this anime will begin airing on January 11, 2025. The series is directed by Jun Hatori, with music by Yusuke Shirato and Yuki Kishida, and animation production handled by EAST FISH STUDIO. The story follows a high school boy named Kei (nicknamed K of Ice), who wreaks havoc in underground Mahjong parlors driven by money, women, organs, and desires. Despite facing various hardships, Kei struggles to survive in the dark world of Mahjong.

In addition, the artists for the second season-ending theme song have been announced. Enako, a cosplay influencer who won the Comic Division Award at the Top Cover Awards 2023 and has over 2.4 million followers on X, and Kayoko Kusano, a singer-songwriter and composer who has provided numerous songs, including LiSA’s “Gurenge, ” have formed a powerful duo to perform the ending theme. A comment expressing their enthusiasm has also been received from the artists.

I can’t believe the day has come when I get to sing with Kusano san, who has provided music for me in the past! I am truly happy! On the day of the recording, Kusano san directed me, and thanks to her encouragement and friendly nature, it was such a fun experience. I’m really looking forward to seeing how “Tumbling Dice” will come together with the animation for the ending!

The hit manga series “Solo Camping For Two”, created by Yudai Debata, has surpassed 3 million copies in circulation. Following the announcement of a live-action drama set to premiere on January 9th on TOKYO MX, fans were thrilled to learn that the series will also be adapted into a TV anime, scheduled to air in July 2025. Alongside this announcement, a teaser key visual and teaser trailer have been unveiled.

The story centers on Gen Kinokura, a devoted solo camper who treasures his solitude. During one of his usual camping trips, he unexpectedly crosses paths with Shizuku Kusano, a total camping novice. What starts as an accidental encounter evolves into an unusual partnership, as the two embark on what can only be described as “solo camping for two.”

The main cast has also been revealed: Daiki Hamano will voice Gen Kinokura, the seasoned solo camper, while Mizuki Niizaki will play Shizuku Kusano, the enthusiastic beginner who insists on becoming Gen’s apprentice. Hamano shared his excitement, stating that he loves portraying passionate and earnest characters, making Gen a joy to bring to life. Hello, nice to meet you! I’m Mizuki Niizaki, and I’ll be voicing Shizuku Kusano.

Didn’t you wonder, “What does Solo Camping For Two even mean?” I certainly did when I first heard the title. I discovered the series during the audition process, and I was immediately intrigued by the idea of enjoying both camping and cooking knowledge all at once! In reality, I’ve never gone camping myself, as I’m more of an indoor person, but I’m excited to learn about camping alongside Shizuku.

Shizuku can be a bit pushy at times, but she’s incredibly earnest and sincere. So, I’ve tried to bring out as much of my own sincerity as possible when voicing her. I hope you’ll enjoy watching Shizuku grow throughout the series. Also, her Nagasaki dialect, which appears frequently, adds to her charm, so I’ve made sure to study it carefully. I hope you’ll look forward to that as well!

This is actually my first regular anime role, and I’ve been nervous but excited at every recording session. However, with the guidance and advice I’ve received from Daiki Hamano, just like Shizuku learning from Gen, I feel like I’m growing with each session. I really hope the atmosphere of Solo Camping For Two reaches you all.

Hello, this is Daiki Hamano, playing the role of Gen Kinokura.

As his name suggests, Gen is a stubborn man. While he struggles with personal relationships, he’s incredibly passionate and deeply dedicated when it comes to camping. To portray him, I’ve tried to embody the essence of an “oldschool Showa-era man” while also capturing the charm of someone who lives for his hobbies and dreams. Personally, I really admire people who are passionate and straightforward, so playing Gen has been a truly enjoyable experience for me.

When it comes to my own camping memories, a few stand out. During middle school, I participated in a school trip to Mount Tsukuba, where we had a campfire and performed skits with the entire grade. In high school, while living in Sydney, I took part in a survival camp in the Blue Mountains. Although these weren’t solo camping trips, both experiences left a lasting impression on me. At Mount Tsukuba, we shared stories and laughter around the campfire, while the Blue Mountains trip involved a five-day survival adventure where we carried all our food, utensils, and camping gear ourselves, planning our route from start to finish. Both are unforgettable memories.

Recording sessions for this series often feature intimate scenes with just a few characters, which has fostered a close, almost familial atmosphere among the cast. Led by narrator Shimura-san and dialect coach Shiro-san, we’ve shared many lively conversations about things like “what kind of camping we’d love to try” or “what food we’d want to cook.” Despite all the fun, we approach the performances and the story with great seriousness, carefully considering every word and line delivery. It’s been an incredibly rewarding experience.

To all Solo Camping For Two fans and camping enthusiasts, I truly hope you’ll enjoy this unique take on the challenges and joys of camping. Camping really is the best, isn’t it? Gen Kinokura, 34 years old.

Shizuku Kusano (Voiced by: Mizuki Niizaki)

The heroine of the story, 20 years old. A beginner camper who after meeting Gen during her first camping experience, decides to apprentice under him. She proposes the idea of solo camping for two, much to Gen’s reluctance.

Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei” announced the new casts!

The anime “The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei: He Just Solves All the Mysteries” is set to air starting April 2025. Additionally, three new cast members have been announced.

This time, a stellar cast has been unveiled to bring to life the familiar characters from the “Hyakki Yako Series.”

Shinnosuke Tachibana will play Reijiro Enokizu, a handsome young man with a signature eyepatch over his left eye and a complicated bond with Chuzenji dating back to their student days. Shuya Nishiji will take on the role of Takumi Sekiguchi, a myxomycete researcher struggling with severe social anxiety. Takanori Hoshino will portray Shutaro Kiba, Enokizu’s childhood friend and a police officer stationed at the local precinct.

When I knew the audition results that I would get to play Reijiro Enokizu, I was genuinely thrilled!

And... I’m really looking forward to seeing how the humor and fear of the original story will be brought to life in the anime.

Every character in the story is full of quirks and quite a handful, but during the recording sessions, hearing the performances of the cast brought these “troublesome” characters to life in a way that made them seem so endearing and lovable. Everyone is truly charming. I’m excited to watch the broadcast!

I’m Takanori Hoshino, and I’ll be playing the role of Shutaro Kiba! Kiba is a dependable adult, a warm-hearted friend, and a character who I think will resonate with viewers, sharing in their surprises and reactions throughout the story. He appears quite frequently, too! Please look forward to it!
