Days after more than 100 people lost their lives to dust storms and lightning strikes in parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued a warning that fresh thunderstorms might strike several parts of India between May 5 and 7.The severe dust storm and thunder showers that hit parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan left a trail of destruction. Houses collapsed and trees and poles were uprooted in the storm that also led to power outages. In Uttar Pradesh, the highintensity dust storm left 73 people dead and 91 injured.
