MEDICAL MISSION

Angels for Humanity has done three medical mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Our team of dedicated volunteers travelled to the DR to deliver medical and dental care.
Our volunteers bring joy and hope to children in need.

Our first trip was a free eyeglasses program in 2017.  By re‑ storing sight, we were able to transform lives for some 500 underprivileged children in Haiti.  Our first dental mission was led by our Chairman and CFO, Dr. Julio Hernandez.  By providing emergency and preventative dental care to chil‑ dren ages 4 14, we were able to improve the quality of lives of those suffering from dental disease.  Over 400 under‑served and vulnerable children benefited from this mission.

Despite COVID restrictions around the world, we were able to complete another successful medical mission trip in 2021 in the Dominican Republic.  We served children in the Batey which is home to children of mostly Haitian migrant workers working in the sugarcane fields.  These children live far below the poverty level in shacks made of aluminum siding and wood.  This was our largest mission ever, where 600 children received both medical and dental screenings and preventative and emergency dental care.  32 medical and non‑medical volunteers joined our mission to provide healthcare and support to these children who are largely neglected by their society.  Our presence alone pro vided hope that they too can one day aspire to be doctors and nurses and come full circle to help others in need.
