UniversityAthens of Patras Department of Architecture Integrated Master Oct. 2016 - May 2022 EDUCATION

I’m an architect recently graduated at University of Patras. During my studies I gained a lot of design and disciplinary knowledge, as well as capablities to work under pressure. I learned to collaborate harmoniously with a team, to be strong in negotiating, efficacious in gathering inform and developing ideas. I would define myself as a quick thinker, patient, decisive and good listener who is always open to learn new skills and acquire knowledge. I enjoy research and study and I always like to work for the best. March 2022

It consists of “main” and “secondary” axes which form the exhibition hall. An artificial island is created through the axes, which is bridged with the rest of the plot through three sidewalks. The two axes that are formed function as the main buildings of the museum. It hosts all the reception areas and the lecture hall. The side corridors house the interaction exhibits.

The main theme of the project was the Anthropocene and was based on environmental pollution in order to raise awareness of the man. We designed a museum, located on the east pier of Rio (Achaia, Greece).

In this project we designed a house on the University Campus of the University of Patras which is intended to house the family of its guardian. Particular emphasis was placed on the sustainable side of the building, mainly in terms of solarisation, ventilation and heating. Sustainable house SustainablesemesterDesignvii

Design with Grasshopper 3D

semester viii The project concerns Grasshopper 3D applications by Rhino 3D. In order to achieve this work, a study of geometric concepts and methods of form production that are directly related to the evolving possibilities of digital design was carried out. A study is made through the application Ladybug - Grasshopper for the radiation rates received by the buildings as well as the development of an algorithm based on which the openings of each building are automatically adjusted according to the radiation rates they receive.

In Between ArchitecturalsemesterSynthesisviii In this project we dealt with the remodeling of city block 3911, in the area of Kolonaki (Athens). Our target was to ensure better quality living conditions, offering better lighting and ventilation inside the apartments as well as in the vacant lot of the city block.

The achievement of this intention occurs through the recording of the way the urban landscape interacts with its user, how the stimulus of the landscape unconsciously affects him and finally how the experience of wandering, specifically in the center of Athens, has evolved over the years. The present research will benefit anyone who wishes to engage with the urban planning of the center of Athens in the context of a renovation with sustainable and experiential intentions.

The experiential aspect of wandering is defined through an endless flow of spatiotemporal stimulus, an assemblage of historical and cultural elements that have shaped the urban landscape in which people move today. This thought led this research thesis to engage with the experiential character of wandering in the urban environment, as well as the presentation of the means by which the Athenian city will meet the requirements for a multi-sensory transportation.

Desaing Diploma Thesis

semester ix The perspective of our study was based on what characterizes the public space of the center of Athens and the way people interact with it, as it appears that private space is preferred, at the cost of isolation. By listing the reasons for this outcome, this design thesis seeks to redefine and reclaim public space. Achieving it, would result in optimizing the walking experience, while focusing on enhancing the pedestrian-city interaction. The area of Kolonaki was chosen as the place ofstudy, with an emphasis on the unstructured parts that constitute a building block. The vision of the design examines the accessibility to the vacant space of a building block through the public space, while improving its interior. The proposal is inspired by the theory of 1 minute city, in the interest of an optimal and direct access to all of ones needs. Regarding the sidewalk, the idea considers the redefinition of its appearance and the restoration of walkability.

Τhe planting appears haphazardly placed without taking into account the urban needs of the area and the inhabitants. a radius of up to 400m, the densely built landscape of the area leaves no margin for free public space for pedestrians and their experiential contact with the city.

In the neighborhood there are plenty of services and their distance from a typical building block is on average 2 minutes on foot.

Studying the above building block we notice that the sidewalk that surrounds it lags behind in terms of accessibility and walk ability. broken and intermittent blind guides, poorly placed urban amenities and non-functional sidewalk width are found.

Repetition of the intervention in the surrounding building blocks creating interaction and connectivity between them. The pedestrianization of the central axis allows the free movement of neighborhood pedestrians and communication between blocks

We approach our idea by removing building volumes. the vacant lot becomes accessible from the public space and now functional. The sidewalk is shaped according to the accessibility and walkability problems identified

By drawing routes, the shortest distance between the buildings of each thematic route is calculated. Drawing which will define the points where the passages to the vacant lots will be created By looking for the buildings that host some of the selected ground floor uses, the points and routes are defined which last one minute on foot
