is an American singersongwriter.

She first gained attention in 2015 when she uploaded the song "Ocean Eyes" to SoundCloud, which was subsequently released by

the Interscope Records subsidiary Darkroom. The song was written and produced by her brother Finneas O'Connell, with whom she collaborates on music and live shows.

Much of the media attention surrounding Eilish has revolved around her fashion style, which consists primarily of baggy, ill-fitting clothing.

In 2017, Eilish stated that she likes dressing out of her comfort zone to feel like she grabs the attention of everyone around her. She tries to be "really different from a lot of people" and dresses opposite to what others wear.

Aiming to "look memorable", Eilish said that she "proved to people that [she's] more important than they think" and likes being "kind of intimidating, so people will listen up."

In 2019, she stated: "Over time it's kind of become a thing, 'Billie Eilish, the creepy, weird, scary girl.'

And I don't like that. It's lame. I just don't want to stay one thing."

In May 2019, Eilish appeared in a Calvin Klein advertisement, wherein she mentioned that she dresses in baggy clothes to prevent people from bodyshaming her.

In a March 2020 live show in Miami, as part of the Where Do We Go? Tour, Billie Eilish unveiled her powerful short film, Not My Responsibility.

The video originally debuted during the singer’s Where Do We Go? World Tour, which was postponed in March due to the COVID19 crisis. Eilish premiered a short film entitled Not My Responsibility which addresses her experiences of body-shaming.

forced upon women in the music industry — and the online body-shaming that comes with it. In the affecting clip produced and written by Eilish, the singer is seen alone in the dark wearing a black hoodie.

As she recites her vulnerable, revealing words that slam body shaming and judgmental behavior, she slowly disrobes before sinking into water. She starts by saying, “Do you know me?” and asks a series of questions

about how people perceive her and may want her to be and act. “Would you like me to be smaller? Weaker?

Softer? Taller? Would you like me to be quiet? Do my shoulders provoke you?” “We make assumptions about people based on their size. We decide who they are. We decide what they’re worth,” she concludes in the clip. “If I wear more, if I wear less — who decides what that makes me?

What that means? Is my value based only on your perception? Or is your opinion of me not my responsibility?”

Megan Thee Stallion's hit song 'Body' sparked a contentious body positivity challenge on TikTok Megan Thee Stallion's music has soundtracked 2020 on TikTok. Propelled by a viral dance challenge, her single "Savage" was one of the biggest songs on TikTok this year, so it's no surprise that her latest single "Body" has made waves on the app and become a dance challenge with choreography from the music video.But the song has also sparked another trend in which people use it to show photos of themselves in form-fitting clothes, bikinis, or without shirts. The trend, like the dance challenge, is based around the chorus of the song where Megan Thee Stallion raps the word "body" repeatedly. It's not clear exactly who started the trend, but the earliest videos associated with it that have over 10,000 likes date back to November 21, the day after "Body" was released.

Lizzy Khang started the trend with a video of herself dancing in high-waisted jeans that show just a sliver of her upper tummy. She then pulls them down to show off her belly and continues happily dancing. A new body-positivity trend in which women lower their high-waisted jeans and show off their bellies is sweeping TikTok with incredible force, and has now amassed more than 60 million views on the app. The 'empowering' trend was kicked off by user Lizzy Khang, who shared a video of herself dancing with her belly out 'to show young girls it’s OK to have a tummy.'. Soon, other TikTok users were doing duets with her video, adding their own belly-out dances in an effort to normalize different body types.

'Self love baby, self love. Just a reminder that what you see on social media isn’t real,' she added in another post. 'You only see what we show you. You are beautiful and enough.I still have days where I absolutely hate myself and that’s okay. We all have those days. Take good care of your body, it’s the only body you get.'

Content creator uses TikTok to depict womenempowering characters For 22-year-old Andrea Nicole So, with TikTok handle @andweaso, the app was more than just a stage for trends. She used this as a venue to utilize creativity to speak on women empowerment.

Andrea brought to the site her open-mindedness, appreciation of diversity and her evident confidence in public speaking – which, according to her, are vital characteristics in being a content creator. “I’ve always had quite the imagination and enjoyed writing stories so being able to use this platform to express my creativity and share my thoughts with my audience is something I’m thankful for,” she beamed.

Currently, the young artist has already published over 250 videos and has gained a massive audience of approximately 216,000 followers and 6.3 million likes. “I want to encourage my followers to be who they want to be regardless of their gender and treat each other equally,” she added.
