SEPTEMBER 2014

AROUND THE CLUB Labor Day marks the end of the summer here at the Club and what a summer it has been! Our Unicorn Swim and Dive team competed mightily and although no championship was won, all who participated agree that this year’s program was one of the best ever. Kids Kamp was another smashing success with over 70 future members learning the skills of golf, tennis and swimming. Twilight golf was once again one of the most popular events offered with an average of over 100 players turning out for each twilight. Friday night BBQ’s on the Terrace were well received and the July 4th Celebration hosted a record 925 attendees. The golf course stayed busy even during the hottest of afternoons and the pool bristled with activity all summer long. The activities above validate that FHCC is truly a family oriented country club which is a key reason why we continue to be successful when some of the other private clubs in the area are struggling with membership. Regarding membership sales, our recently completed incentive program successfully brought in 11 new Regular members, five Social members and one Junior member. While I must admit that I had hoped that we would be much more successful, we did bring in more members than we likely would have had we not done the program. We begin this new fiscal year with the goal of selling a minimum of 22 Regular memberships. Now as in the past the Club relies heavily on its existing members for membership sale leads. I am asking all members to promote the Club to friends, business associates, neighbors and relatives and encourage them to consider membership. If you know of someone that might be interested in membership, please contact Brian Ricketts, Membership Director, or myself and we will contact the prospect and take it from there. As has been the case in the past, there will be some very attractive incentive options available to members who refer new members. The Holidays are just around the corner and bookings for December are already coming in strong so I highly suggest that you contact Catering Director Christine Bobadilla today to book your holiday party. See you around,

Dave
