J.J. Arthur holds bachelor degrees in Applied Science and Mechanical Engineering. He has been employed by NuScale since 2010, first as a senior design engineer, then progressing through various levels of engineering manage ment. Currently he serves at Senior Director of NSSS Engineering, where he leads a team of over 80 engineers responsible for the design and analysis of the NuScale Power Module. J.J. is a registered professional engineer in the state of Oregon.

Jon Ball is the Executive Vice President of Market Development for GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH), headquartered in Wilmington, NC. Jon has been in the nuclear industry for 29 years and has a wide range of experience in P&L leadership, manufacturing, global oper ations, services and quality. Prior to his current role, Jon served as Executive Vice President of Advanced Nuclear from 2015 2022 where he led the creation, development and commercial adoption of the BWRX 300, an industry leading SMR. Jon previously served as Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain, leading more than 1,000 employees in manufacturing and logistics for GEH’s worldwide operations. He has also spent several years in Services where he led GEH’s Field Services and Performance Services businesses and held several positions in GE’s nuclear fuels business, including Global Supply Chain Leader, Quality Manager and Lab Manager.
Jon received a B.S. in Chemistry from Pacific Lutheran University, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from The Pennsylvania State University, and has also completed the MIT Reactor Technology Course for Utility Executives.
Kimberly Cook-Nelson EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, NUCLEAR OPERATIONS AND CHIEF NUCLEAR OFFICER, ENTERGY
Kimberly Cook Nelson is executive vice pres ident of nuclear operations and chief nuclear officer of Entergy, where she is responsible for the safe, secure and reliable operations of Entergy’s four nuclear power plants and five reactors located in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Entergy Nuclear is headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi. As a member of the com pany’s office of the chief executive, Cook Nelson is also engaged in building and strengthening relationships with external stakeholders.
Prior to her current role, she served as chief operating officer, nuclear operations from 2021 to 2022 with responsibility for Arkansas Nuclear One, River Bend and Palisades nuclear gener ating stations. She served as Entergy’s vice president, system planning and operations from 2019 to 2021, where she was responsible for the local balance authority, energy marketing, com mercial operations/origination, energy settle ments, non nuclear fuel purchasing and sched uling, long term capacity planning and more.
In 2016, Cook Nelson moved to the Entergy Nuclear headquarters office as vice president, operations support, where she was account able for the line corporate functional area man agers, training, performance improvement, organizational effectiveness, and business planning. She previously held various lead ership positions of increasing responsibility in system engineering, continuous improve ment, maintenance, nuclear safety assurance and operations. She was the general man ager of plant operations at Waterford 3 from 2011 to 2014. She also completed a rotational assignment at the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, where she qualified and functioned as an organizational effectiveness team leader and a corporate evaluator.
Cook Nelson began her career in 1996 as a design engineer at the Waterford 3 nuclear
plant, later moving to the nuclear safety anal ysis group where she focused on work in prob abilistic risk assessment and risk informed applications. She moved into plant leadership in 2001 as a mechanical maintenance first line supervisor, followed by operations, receiving her senior reactor operator license in 2003.
She has an MBA, a master’s degree in engi neering management and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of New Orleans. She also attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School. She is a licensed professional engi neer and received her senior reactor oper ator license from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission for Waterford 3.

Jennifer Edey is the Senior Vice President of Operational Services and Business Development at Bruce Power. She oversees the operation of key services that directly support the safe operation of Bruce Power’s nuclear fleet. These services include Information Technology and Digital Transformation, the operations and 5
maintenance of all facilities and infrastructure, the document management system for Bruce Power, Radiological Waste Management and Health Physics. She also leads Emergency and Protective Services which consists of Nuclear Security, Fire Response and Prevention, and Emergency Management.
She has most recently added Business Development to her portfolio where she over sees isotope development, new nuclear initia tives and innovative technology and project opportunities to support our Net Zero Strategy.
Jennifer started her career with Suncor in Calgary where she was at the leading edge of renewable energy development in Canada. She developed wind farms across Canada and eventually co ran a successful wind develop ment company in Ontario.
She studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo and completed her Executive MBA through Queens University while working for Suncor in Calgary.
Sean Granville
PRINCIPAL – BNKA CONSULTING INC.
Mr. Granville provides executive consulting ser vices to the energy industry. As former Chief Operations Officer and Chief Nuclear Officer of Ontario Power Generation (OPG), Sean was accountable for all of OPG’s generating fleet with a capacity of over 15,400 MWe consisting of 10 nuclear units, 66 hydro stations, 2 thermal stations, 1 solar facility and oversight of OPG subsidiaries, Atura Power and Eagle Creek Renewable Energy. Sean’s background includes a 39 year nuclear career including three years as Chief Nuclear Officer at New Brunswick Power’s Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station.
Sean’s energy industry experience includes a secondment to the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) in Atlanta, membership of the Canadian Nuclear Association and the CANDU Owners Group. Sean is currently a board
member of The Nuclear Waste Management Organization and Women in Nuclear Canada and is a member X Energy Canada Advisory Board. Sean previously chaired the Canadian CNO Forum and is a past member of the INPO Executive Advisory Group.
Sean is a graduate of The University of Waterloo with a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and was certified as a Licensed Shift Manager by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
Bryan Hanson
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF GENERATION OFFICER, CONSTELLATION
As Executive Vice President and Chief Generation Officer, Hanson is responsible for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the new Constellation’s power generation fleet, which includes nearly 100 generating units in 19 states and Canada. Constellation operates the largest clean energy fleet in America, producing electricity from 10 fuel types including nuclear, natural gas, hydro, wind and solar. He serves on the Constellation Executive Committee, which sets strategy and direction for the company. Hanson has more than 30 years of progres sive experience in the nuclear power industry. Prior to his current role, Hanson was president and chief nuclear officer of Exelon Generation’s nuclear fleet. In that role, Hanson was respon sible for ensuring that Exelon Generation main tained high levels of performance and safety across its nuclear fleet of 21 reactors at 12 facil ities that it operates in Illinois, Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania.
During his tenure with Exelon, Hanson served as the nuclear chief operating officer, senior vice president of Midwest operations, site vice president for Exelon’s Braidwood Generating Station and the site vice presi dent for Clinton Power Station. He also has been vice president of nuclear oversight, Limerick Generating Station plant manager,
and director of operations and work control. Hanson is on the board of directors for Easterseals DuPage and the Fox Valley Region and for Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited (NEIL). He also serves on the University of Wisconsin Engineering Physics Advisory Board, the INPO Accrediting Board, the World Nuclear Association Board of Management, and the NET Power, LLC Board.
Hanson earned a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Master of Business Administration from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. Kelvin Henderson

Kelvin Henderson serves as senior vice presi dent and chief nuclear officer for Duke Energy. He is responsible for the safe and efficient oper ation of the nation’s largest regulated nuclear generating fleet.
Before assuming his current position in December 2020, Kelvin oversaw the company’s nuclear operations in North Carolina as senior vice president of nuclear operations. He served

in this role since 2017 and had lead responsi bilities for the Brunswick, Harris and McGuire plants.
Kelvin brings more than 26 years of experience to the position and a deep knowledge of nuclear operations. He served as senior vice presi dent of nuclear corporate with responsibility for Duke Energy’s nuclear corporate functions, including nuclear engineering, nuclear major projects, corporate governance and operations support, and organizational effectiveness. He served as the site vice president of Catawba Nuclear Station in York, S.C., where he was responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the two unit, pressurized water reactor gen erating facility. He directed station and facilities management, operations, maintenance, chem istry and radiation protection, engineering, nuclear and industrial safety, and business operations.
Kelvin joined Progress Energy in May 1998 in the operations department at Harris Nuclear Plant near New Hill, N.C. He served in a variety of leadership roles at the plant, including plant manager, maintenance manager and on line scheduling supervisor. He was named gen eral manager of nuclear fleet operations for Progress Energy in 2011 and site vice presi dent of Catawba Nuclear Station following the merger between Duke Energy and Progress Energy in 2012. He was named senior vice pres ident of nuclear corporate in 2016.
Before joining Progress Energy, Kelvin was a control room unit supervisor at Zion Nuclear Station for Commonwealth Edison (an Exelon Company) in Zion, Ill. He received a senior reactor operator license from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission for Zion in July 1993.
A native of Zion, Ill., Kelvin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. Kelvin and his wife, Stephanie, have three daughters.
David Hill, Ph.D.
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER, TERRESTRIAL ENERGY
Dr. David Hill is a physicist and M.B.A. with 30 years of career experience in nuclear research and in managing large nuclear laboratories in the U.S. Dr. Hill has held senior executive man agement positions in the foremost national nuclear laboratories in the U.S. from 1984 to 2012, specifically Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and Idaho National Laboratory (INL). From 2005 to 2012, Dr. Hill was Deputy Laboratory Director for Science and Technology at Idaho National Laboratory.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hill has gained expe rience in all aspects of nuclear energy, domes tically and internationally. He has managed major projects, including at the experimental fast reactor at INL, and led the restructuring of INL. He has been responsible for hundreds of staff, and hundreds of millions of dollars in annual budgetary research and development expenditures.
Dr. Hill received his BSc (first class) and his PhD in mathematical physics from the Imperial College, London University. He fur ther received his Honors Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is a Fellow of the American Nuclear Society and Member of the International Nuclear Academy.
Tristan Jackson VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT — MOLTEX
Tristan Jackson is Vice President of Corporate Development at Moltex, serving as primary point of contact for key external relationships across communities, government, investors, customers, and supply chain. He is a life long advocate for sustainability and reducing carbon emissions, as well as a serial entrepreneur,
having co founded and grown two successful startups focused on smart grid technologies and the broader energy transition. Between the acquisition of his first startup and launching the second, Tristan served as Global Director of Smart & Distributed Energy at Worley, leading a diverse international team covering all con tinents in building micro grids and other advanced, on site energy systems. Tristan has an MBA with Sustainability Certificate from MIT where he was a Legatum Fellow, and a BA dou ble major in Psychology and Sociology from Cornell University. He lives with his wife in Ontario, outside Toronto, in a net zero home he and his wife designed and built together.
Brian McDaniel

Mr. McDaniel has more than 28 years of profes sional experience at Department of Energy and commercial sites providing technical exper tise for environmental remediation, health physics, and waste management functions. For the last eleven years, he has managed the Production Waste Engineering section at the Y 12 National Security Complex and has served as the Y 12 Nevada National Security Site Waste Certification Program’s Primary Technical Contact since 2018.
John (Jay) Arthur Mullis II
ACTING ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL DEPUTY ASSISTANT SECRETARY FOR REGULATORY AND POLICY AFFAIRS
John (Jay) Arthur Mullis II is the acting Associate Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Regulatory and Policy Affairs for the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management. In this role, he provides day to day oversight and management of the EM regulatory and policy affairs operations including infrastructure; deactivation and dem olition (D&D); soil and groundwater remedia tion; tank closures; waste disposal; packaging

& transportation; and regulatory, intergovern mental and stakeholder affairs.
Prior to his current role, he was the Field Manager of the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management (OREM). He held this post from November 2017 until November 2021. As the Manager, he was responsible for safely executing the environmental cleanup of the 32,400 acre Oak Ridge Reservation. While serving as manager, he is proud that his federal and contractor team delivered the completion of all facility decontamination and demolition at the East Tennessee Technology Park four years ahead of schedule and well under budget.
Before serving as the Manager, he was OREM’s Deputy Manager. In this capacity, he helped direct and support the office’s division direc tors and federal project directors to ensure federal oversight and progress conducting environmental cleanup across the Oak Ridge Reservation.
Jay holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engi neering from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, and he is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of South Carolina. He com pleted extensive training and was qualified as a Nuclear Engineer while working for the Navy at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and was a fully certified Facility Representative for the DOE.
Jay has more than 30 years of federal service. His experience consists of approximately nine years working in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion program at Charleston Naval Shipyard with the balance of his service working for DOE in var ious assignments related to environmental restoration, decontamination and decommis sioning, and waste management activities.
Per Peterson
Chair in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He is an expert in topics related to high temperature fission energy systems, safety, and security of nuclear materials, and waste management. As a member of the Evaluation Methodology Group, he participated in the development of the Gen IV Roadmap while serving as co chair for the Proliferation Resistance and Physical Protection Working Group. His research has contributed to the development of the passive safety systems used in the General Electric ESBWR and Westinghouse AP1000 reactor designs. With Charles Forsberg and Paul Pickard, in 2003, he proposed the FHR concept of a molten salt cooled, solid fueled reactor.
Dr. Peterson graduated from the University of Nevada at Reno with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Myrna Redfield

the site’s largest process gas building, C 333 Cascade, and the environmental remediation of the C 400 Complex. Her responsibilities include ensuring the contract performance and safety of more than 950 personnel, including two union organizations.
Ms. Redfield has partnered with DOE Senior Management during key regulatory and tech nical negotiations, supporting the Oak Ridge and PGDP Environmental Remediation Projects. She has established strong relationships with key regulators and DOE to ensure project conti nuity in achieving an overall regulatory strategy to meet the requirements of the PGDP D & R mission.
In addition to this, Ms. Redfield has success fully developed strategies and integrated them into work execution plans. A talented commu nicator, she plays an integral role in ensuring customer satisfaction. Her understanding of the PGDP scope has enabled her to proactively sup port regulatory and strategy program develop ment, including development of a proposal to realign the site cleanup priorities to achieve final cleanup of the C 400 Complex, develop ment of the Deactivation and Demolition regu latory framework, completion of the PGDP Site wide Strategy Facility Background Information Report and the prioritization, and sequencing of Paducah remediation.
She is a native of Puerto Rico and lives in Paducah, Kentucky, with her husband and daughter.

Myrna Redfield has 30 years of experience leading and managing environmental manage ment organizations working on U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulatory compliance and environmental missions across the complex, performing work similar in size, scope and com plexity to the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP) Deactivation and Remediation (D & R) Contract. Ms. Redfield has performed in roles of increasing responsibility, including more than 29 years of Paducah specific experience, from Integration and Strategic Partnering Manager to her current role as Program Manager and Chief Executive Officer at Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership.
Today, she leads Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership’s 10 year, $1.4 billion Deactivation and Remediation Project at the DOE Paducah site, which is focused on the deactivation of
Ken Rueter is President and Chief Executive Officer of UCOR, the Department of Energy’s (DOE) environmental cleanup prime contractor for the Oak Ridge Reservation. Having suc cessfully led the $4.2 billion East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP) contract for nine years—resulting in the largest environmental cleanup project in DOE’s history—Ken is

applying that experience to successfully lead the Oak Ridge Reservation Cleanup Contract.
Under the ETTP contract, Ken guided and moti vated a workforce of over 2,000 to perform work safely and efficiently, eliminating hazards and reducing environmental liability. Under Ken’s oversight, UCOR experienced an unmatched record of success, not only finishing major projects ahead of schedule and under budget, but doing so safely as demonstrated by DOE awarding UCOR Star status in its Voluntary Protection Program. In 2019, the National Safety Council recognized Ken’s personal commitment to safety and his philosophy of safety as a pre requisite to all work by naming him a CEO who “Gets It.” This prestigious designation is pre sented to leaders who go above and beyond to protect employees both on and off the job.
Throughout his three decades of industry expe rience, Ken has led all aspects of site cleanup and remediation, radioactive waste treatment, and project integration, including construc tion, risk management, and cost and schedule development.
Ken previously served as President of Savannah River Remediation LLC and as Project Manager for the Savannah River Site Liquid Waste Project.
Earlier in his career, Ken served as Chief Operating Officer for the Hanford Tank Operations Contract in Washington State and as Director of Project Integration for Washington River Protection Solutions at DOE’s Hanford site.
Ken is most proud of building invest ment worthy enterprises that deliver more value to the customer for every dollar spent as well as instituting his shared governance model, which brings all stakeholders to the table to build equity and ownership in decision making.
In Oak Ridge, Ken is an active community leader, representing UCOR as a member of local organizations that promote economic
development, entrepreneurship, health and wellness, outdoor recreational opportunities, and civic pride. These groups include the East Tennessee Economic Council and Oak Ridge Associated Universities. Under Ken’s oversight, UCOR, its workforce, and subcontractors have donated over $3M to local and regional orga nizations focused on children’s advocacy, edu cation and workforce development, health and wellness, and conservation and preservation.
He serves on the Boards of Directors of the Center for Construction Research and Training, Oak Ridge Associated Universities, and American Society of Safety Professionals. He was the 2016 recipient of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers’ prestigious Management Division Award. In 2017, he was presented with the East Tennessee Economic Council Muddy Boot Award, recognizing his contributions to the Oak Ridge community.
Ken received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cleveland State University, and he attended the Executive Management Program of the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.

Maureen is Pacific Gas and Electric Company Vice President at Diablo Canyon Power Plant, located in Avila Beach, California. In this role, she is responsible for regulatory strategies and compliance programs, license renewal, enterprise and operational risk management, pre planning decommissioning and trust fund, procurement and nuclear fuel manage ment, emergency preparedness, cyber secu rity, land and environmental stewardship, busi ness planning, and academic partnerships. In the last seven years, Maureen was also the Vice President Generation Business & Technical Services, Senior Director of Regulatory, Risk Management and Decommissioning, Director
of Nuclear Risk and Compliance and served as the Chief of Staff for the Senior Vice President, Generation, and Chief Nuclear Officer where she was involved with the overall strategic direc tion, planning, and oversight of PG&E’s utility owned generation. An energy portfolio that is over 7,600 megawatts of safe, reliable, afford able clean energy.
Maureen has over 33 years’ experience in the utility and nuclear energy industry. She joined PG&E in 1997 and has held various positions with increasing responsibility in the areas of Integrated Planning and Business Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Regulatory, Cyber Security, Performance Improvement and Emergency Preparedness. Prior to PG&E, Maureen spent 8 years at Westinghouse Electric involved in major projects and initia tives including decommissioning, steam gen erator replacements, regulatory and legislation, and Department of Energy and utility reactor start ups.
Maureen has a degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. She is the chair of the Nuclear Energy Institute’s (NEI) Decommissioning Working Group and member of University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Dean of Engineering Corporate Advisory Board and California Polytechnic State University President’s Council of Advisors. Maureen is also a member of the Diablo Canyon Decommissioning Engagement Panel, NEI’s Risk Informed Steering Committee, Regulatory Information Working Group, Women in Nuclear (WIN), and American Nuclear Society (ANS). Maureen and her family live in San Luis Obispo, California.
