Something for Breakfast

a coffee, a soft cake, a milkshake, choco-biscuits


Italian Coffee To make a good coffee you need: water, coffee powder, sugar (if you want)

Fill the coffee machine with water


Insert the filter and add the ground coffee Close the coffee machine


Put the coffee pot on the stove The coffee is ready after few minutes

Some people say that BREAKFAST is the most important meal of the day.. So, I hope you’ll enjoy this recipe!

SOFT CAKE (Italian ciambella) The ingredients you need to make this cake are: •250 g of white sugar •3 eggs (or more) •130 g of water •130 g of oil •250 g of 00 flour •1 packet of yeast •Some dark chocolate chips •Unsweetened cocoa powder (to taste)


First of all: 1. Take a container and beat three eggs inside

2. Add the sugar to the eggs (you can put less sugar as well)

3. Mix together with a fork

4. Pour carefully some water and oil using a dosing cup


5. Put the flour and keep stirring the dough

5. Put the flour and keep stirring the dough 7. Pour half of the bough in a ring mold trying to cover the whole surface

6. Add a whole packet of yeast.. ‘the smell is delicious’ 8. Put some unsweetened cocoa powder into the remaining dough Mix together with a fork Add as much dark chocolate chips as you want.. ‘I like chocolate’


9. Put the other half of the dough in the ring mold. Mix together (do concentric circles)

10. Bake it for about 35 minutes at 160°

Remove the mold from the oven and let the cake cool. Then put it on a tray

How to make a hazelnut milkshake Ingredients(four people): Hazelnut ice cream(300g); Milk(250ml); A little bit of icing of black cherry.

Instructions: 1.Put the hazelnut ice cream in the mixer 2.Then put the milk in the mixer 3.Blend the ingredients and put the milkshake in a glass 4.At the end decorate with the glaze of black cherry Liceo Scientifico Fermi PIERPAOLO RUFFOLO 1°D

how to make biscuits with chocolate chips Ingredients: 50 gr of whole wheat flour 50 gr of 00 flour 60 ml of seed oil 75 ml of warm water baking powder (1/2 packet) dark chocolate chips (3 spoons) 120 gr of sugar


INSTRUCTIONS: ●

dissolve the sugar in the warm water

insert the sifted flour with baking powder into the bowl and mix everything add the oil and knead, finally add the chocolate chips wrap the dough in the transparent paper and let it rest in the fridge for 1 hour


make “balls” with the dough and put them on a baking sheet bake at 180 ° (static) for 10 minutes

remove the biscuits from the oven, let them cool and then taste them!

The biscuits can also be tasted with a hot cup of milk!


Something for lunch Italian pasta (Calabrian way): Carbonara and Gnocchi


«MY CARBONARA»

● INGREDIENTS (for ONE person) ● ● ● ● ● ●

120 gr pasta (spaghetti) 2 eggs (use one whole egg and only the white of the other one) 100 gr bacon 50 gr grated cheese (pecorino) Salt (just enough) Pepper (just enough)


INSTRUCTIONS ● Put the bacon in a pan and fry it until it’s browned

● Whisk the two yolks and the one egg white in a bowl with salt, pepper and pecorino


â—? Put spaghetti in a pot when the water boils. And after eleven minutes drain them â—? Put spaghetti inside the pot and add bacon, eggs, pecorino, salt and pepper mixed before, with the fire on


Serve Carbonara with another pinch of grated pecorino and another pinch of pepper and enjoy your meal!

How to make ‘gnocchi’ Ingredients: For the pastry:

Potatoes (2 small per person) Flour (same weight as potatoes; add more if you want a less soft dough) A pinch of salt For the sauce: Small tomatoes (Pachino or’ cherry’ ) Onions (white or red from Tropea Basil (4/5 leaves)

1. Boil peeled potatoes (also cut) in a large quantity of water 2. Mash them


3. Put potatoes in a bowl 4. Add salt 5. Sift flour and add it 6. Mix all ingredients


7. ‘Pour’ the pastry onto a wooden board 8. Knead with your hands until you get a soft dough 9. Cut a piece and make a stick (bigger than a breadstick) Do the same for the whole dough


10. Cut any stick in small pieces

11. Use a creel (or a small wooden grooved board) to hollow them


You can use a fork , too


12. Let “gnocchi� stay on a floured tray 13. Let the water boil in a large pot (add salt if you want) Just the time to make a sauce!!!


14. Put ‘gnocchi’ in the boiling water 15. Take off (drain)when they come to the surface (they ‘float’) The simplest Italian sauce (best in the world): Chop onions (or cut them ‘ a la Julienne’) Fry them in olive oil Switch off fire and put tomatoes ( each cut in a half) in the pan Add basil


Add warm sauce to the ‘gnocchi’ Serve with grated Parmesan cheese, too

Strawberry

milkshake


I usually drink the strawberry milkshake at the tea time Ingredients:

200 ml of milk 6 strawberries

A mixer


You need also:

5 ice cubes

2 teaspoons of sugar

Instruction Wash and slice the strawberries Put the milk, the ice cubes and the strawberries in the mixer and mix. Pour the content of the mixer in a glass.

The INGREDIENTS 3 egg yolks 3 spoons of oil 3 spoons of sugar

a little lemon 1 glass of milk 1 brewer’s yeast 300 grams of flour.

instructions Put 3 yolks in a bowl, add 3 tablespoons of oil, 3 of sugar and 1 grated lemon.


In a saucepan heat a glass of milk Add the brewer’s yeast. Once dissolved add them to the previous mixture.


Slowly add the flour until a soft mixture is obtained. Leave it rest while preparing the filling.


Use 150 grams of butter and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Mix until it is creamy.


Take the dough and roll it out with a rolling pin Fill it with the cream and roll up the dough.


Cut the roll into pieces and form small roses, put them in a buttered cake pan and let them rise for about 2 hours.


After rising, brush the cake with the egg yolk and add granules. Bake at 180° degrees for about 30 minutes.


Taste it ! it's delicious!

Something for dinner fish and ‌pizza


My lunch or dinner when I’m alone at home Ingredients: • • • •

8 cherry tomatoes; 1 small onion; 2 slices of any fish (in this case ‘sogliola’); Spinach


First cut the cherry tomatoes and the onion. Put them in a cooking pan with oil and leave them cook for 5 minutes at slow fire.

At the same time wash the spinach and put it in a cooking pan with oil, for 10 minutes at slow fire, too.


Now put the ‘sogliola’ with cherry tomatoes and onions. Let the fish cook for 10 minutes, until a sauce is formed.


Now serve the fish in a plate with spinach.

This recipe is very fast and tasty. I love it!
