Welcome troops! Using our resources and technology, girls at every level explore their favorite STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math – activities with their troop at the new Inglewood Innovation Center! Take tinkering to another level with tools and materials that inspire creativity and craftiness. Conquer Computer Science by writing code for a new game or learning how to keep yourself and others safe online. Ramp up Robotics skills and go from novice to competitor. You decide! Plan and book a self-guided session for your troop in one of three innovation labs where girls can explore a variety of topics and complete hands-on projects.

Marine Landing Boating Adventure

At Marine Landing, it’s all about fun in the sun and in the water. Join us on our private beach, equipped with certified lifeguards, boating equipment, and good vibes! Our team has put together a 3-hour boating adventure for all ages, and up to 25 boaters. Choose between a morning or afternoon boating adventure and enjoy the Marine Landing boat house when you’re not on the water.

Daisies Code for Good

Daisies, create your own code, learn about women in computer science, and earn your Coding for Good: Coding Basics badge! Discover how programmers communicate with computers using a special language called code. Play a game that uses algorithms and sequences to command a robot to complete a set of tasks. Then, hear about Grace Hopper, the queen of computer code, and how she helped the world with her coding skills. You’ll be writing your own code in no time!

Say Cheese! Cheese Tasting and Education Program: Do you like cheese? Ever wondered how cheese is made, where different cheeses come from, or why there are so many types of cheeses? Join us for a special cheese education and tasting program where you’ll explore careers in the industry, learn about the importance of understanding where our food comes from, as well as how supporting our community, land, and animals can be fun!

Online Red Cross Babysitter’s Basics Training

This American Red Cross self-paced, online training provides Girl Scouts with the skills necessary to safely give care to younger children. Topics include how to provide care for infants and children, how to stay safe, what to do in an emergency, how to choose age-appropriate activities, and how to recognize and handle a variety of behaviors. At the end of the training, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador girls will be prepared to start their first babysitting business. Babysitting certification is valid for two years.

Online Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid Training

Online Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid Training: This American Red Cross self-paced, online training provides Girl Scouts of all ages with the skills necessary to safely give first aid care for their cats and dogs. Girls and adults will learn the first aid care such as understanding your pet’s vital signs, how to assist your pet in breathing and cardiac emergencies, wounds and bleeding, and more.

Program Aide Workshop

Deepen your understanding of leadership as an older Girl Scout while learning how to guide younger girls to be leaders in their own lives. Program Aide Training teaches Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors the skills they need to work with younger girls, peers, and adult volunteers. As a Program Aide you will put your skills into practice working with younger Girl Scouts at council programs, camps, and troop and Service Unit events.

This training is a prerequisite for all Cadette Girl Scouts wishing to complete the Program Aide Award.

Indoor Overnight Training

Prerequisites: 611 Indoor Overnight learning path in gsLearn. Learn the planning steps for an indoor overnight activity with your troop. Take this class 6-8 weeks before you attend your first indoor overnight activity. This class is the first step in progression for outdoor camping and/or travel. This training will allow you to take a troop on an indoor overnight experience where girls sleep in an indoor structure, i.e., a cabin, community center, home, third-party hosted site, etc. This includes overnights where food is provided or the troop cooks in a conventional kitchen. Training includes planning, budgeting, and safety information.

Online Red Cross Anaphylaxis & Epinephrine Auto-Injector Training

This American Red Cross self-paced, online training provides Girl Scouts adults with the skills necessary to safely give care to people suffering from anaphylaxis. Adults will learn the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis and how to care for a person having a severe allergic reaction, including how to help administer epinephrine using an auto-injector device. Certification is valid for two years.
