Using our resources and technology, girls at every level explore their favorite STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math – activities with their troop at the new Inglewood Innovation Center! Take tinkering to another level with tools and materials that inspire creativity and craftiness. Conquer Computer Science by writing code for a new game or learning how to keep yourself and others safe online. Ramp up Robotics skills and go from novice to competitor. You decide! Plan and book a self-guided session for your troop in one of three innovation labs where girls can explore a variety of topics and complete hands-on projects.

Daisies, create your own code, learn about women in computer science, and earn your Coding for Good: Coding Basics badge! Discover how programmers communicate with computers using a special language called code. Play a game that uses algorithms and sequences to command a robot to complete a set of tasks. Then, hear about Grace Hopper, the queen of computer code, and how she helped the world with her coding skills. You’ll be writing your own code in no time!

This American Red Cross self-paced, online training provides Girl Scouts with the skills necessary to safely give care to younger children. Topics include how to provide care for infants and children, how to stay safe, what to do in an emergency, how to choose age-appropriate activities, and how to recognize and handle a variety of behaviors. At the end of the training, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador girls will be prepared to start their first babysitting business. Babysitting certification is valid for two years.

This training is a prerequisite for all Cadette Girl Scouts wishing to complete the Program Aide Award.

This training will allow you to take a troop on an indoor overnight experience where girls sleep in an indoor structure, i.e., a cabin, community center, home, third-party hosted site, etc. This includes overnights where food is provided or the troop cooks in a conventional kitchen.
