The Linden Street Bake-House is a bakery and rehabilitation facility for those who were recently released from the prison system in the Lackawanna County and surrounding areas. The goal of the project is to aid individuals who may not have a place to go after being released from prison ,while simultaneously allowing them to build skills that will help them succeed in life. With multiple residential rooms and common space above the bakery, those who live there will not pay rent, but will instead be required to work. The top floor of the building has one apartment for a caretaker who will look after the bakery and residential rooms, as well as a greenhouse that will provide produce for the bakery and onsite food pantry. To engage the community the building also holds multiple class rooms below the bakery that will be available for public use.

Brady’s Lake Residence is a project located on the banks of Brady’s Lake in the Pocono Pines State Gameland 127. The project benefits from a long driveway with plenty of land to maintain privacy and give the occupant the feeling that they are alone with nature. The house caters to the active working class individual, and includes a two car garage, gym, office, rooftop garden, and lap pool with infinity edge. However, the main features of the house are the pocket doors in the home gym and living room. These doors give the occupant the option to extend their gym and living space onto the patio, providing a seamless transition between interior and exterior space.

The Lackawanna Sanctum is a multi-purpose building holding a chapel, crematorium, and temporary shelter for those in need. The building is tucked into the hillside of a historic piece of land that was a part of Scranton’s extensive coal mining operations in the early twentieth century. At the height of Scranton’s coal boom, the site was torn open and used as a loading station between the Lackawanna River, and the mines below. While the entrance to the coal mine is gone today, the tunnels still run thousands of feet deep and serve as a reminder of our city’s past successes and failures. The building is split into two different wings, each holding a different portion of the program, with one unifying roof structure that flows across the space. Connecting each of the wings is the central columbarium which opens visitors up to the heritage trail, and introduces green space that reaches from the street to the Lackawanna river.
