ABOUT JOE GIROUARD  Joe Girouard is a well-known food photographer from Boston who has mastered the art of telling food stories through simple compositions, striking colors, & subtle lighting.  A graduate of the Kentucky Culinary Institute located in Louisville, Joe has worked with some of the top advertising and editorial clients, & numerous cookbook publications.  He also runs a food photography blog to help food enthusiasts around the world in learning how to take the perfect shots of their favorite recipes.

 Joe Girouard delves into every tiny detail that can enhance his food photos.  To make sure the food turns out beautifully in the photographs, he pays attention to everything from the cutlery, tablecloths, to place mats and more.

JOE DEVELOPED AN INTEREST IN FOOD DURING CHILDHOOD

 Joe says that his love for food started when at the tender age of seven years, he would sit in the kitchen & watch his parents cook food together.  In one of his interviews, he revealed that his dad always wanted to start a restaurant business; however he did not have enough money to do so.

JOE’S MOST PRECIOUS GIFT TO HIS FATHER

 Last year, Joe Girouard gifted his father a restaurant that left the latter deeply overwhelmed.  The restaurant has everything his father always wanted – an Italian menu, rustic decor, spacious seating, and more.  However, the most striking feature of the restaurant is perhaps its interior, which features some of the best food photographs clicked by Joe till date.
