Our modern perspectives have evolved such that we cannot engage past music with the same point of view as those of listeners from a bygone era. Older music is refracted through a modern lens. Bagatelle for two flutes and piano, op. 9, was selected among 14 other finalists by MAN Trio to be premiered at the Cultural Centre Banski Dvor in Bosnia Herzegovina on November 25, 2015. about the composer Harnessing the chugging sounds of contemporary post-minimalism, Andres Luz derives his compositional idiom from the legacy of music history stretching back to medieval stylistic techniques, up to those of present-day postmodernism.
