Issey Miyake In the making
CONCEPT
The aim of the Temporary Exhibition Design course was to find an exhibition that we considered improvable and redesign it without changing the exhibits. As a collective we decided to work on the ISSEY MIYAKE “In the Making” exhibition which looks inside the company to bring focus on the design and making of the ISSEY MIYAKE brands, starting with IM MEN and A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE, and how their creative processes are compared to that of designing a product. The objective of our exhibition is to provide knowledge about the brand on different levels, allowing the visitor to

Link-up a space for content creators
Course: Contest Design Studio sect. 2 Group project
CONCEPT
“LINK-UP” is an interior design project specifically made for content creators. Here users come to network, work, and use equipment they need, but mainly “LINK-UP” provides a space for creative collaborations. To enhance its collaborative identity the project is designed to host typologies of creators that work best together, such as podcasters and YouTubers. The space organization is thought in a way that focuses social activities towards the center, and gradually increases the level of privacy and isolation for other activities towards the sides. At the same time, the landscape guides users to every area through a continuous and smooth design, providing them with all the information about the space zones. The ceiling is the key guiding element for users, it works as a sculpture, as a path, and as a sign that visually explains which activity can be performed underneath it.

Exhibition Bruno Morassutti 100+1!
CONCEPT
The exhibition wants to go beyond a reading of the designer’s work, already investigated in other occasions, in order to propose, through the direct knowledge by the authors of both the works and the figure of the designer, some new interpretations. Starting from the American experience with Wright, to the relationships with the protagonists of the Modern movement such as Neutra, the exhibition follows the projects and the realizations of Morassutti along sixty years of activity, of collaboration, of relationship with the protagonists of the Milanese and Italian cultural scene of those years, wanting to give back a creative season for many reasons unrepeatable.
The objectives of the exhibition are, on the one hand, to highlight the characteristics and the method at the base of Morassutti’s design action at different scales and to underline the training in relation to the masters of the modern movement (Italian like Scarpa and international like Wright), communicating at the same time the design, in relation to architecture and as an integral part of it in a two-way exchange, as an important discipline to interpret the design action. On the other hand, highlighting the relationship with a wide cultural dimension and with the Milanese and Italian environment of the 50s, 60s and 70s with reference to characters such as BBPR, Ponti, Scarpa, Dorfles, Cosentino, Fontana, Buzzati, Cavalli Sforza.
Curated by Alessandro Colombo and Francesco Scullica Exhibition design by Alessandro Colombo, Paola Garbuglio, and Francesco Scullica; with the collaboration of Andrea Pescatori, Dunia Dall’Aglio, Caterina Sauciuc.

W 126th Street
An urban connection
Course: New Interiors 1 Group project
CONCEPT
The area of Baggio is a residential neighborhood located West of Milan and is included in the extension project of the red line subway. The plan is to realize one subway stop South of Baggio and another on the Westside, next to another big neighborhood named “Quartiere Degli Olmi”. Because the upper part of Baggio is closer to the second stop we thought of using the abandoned area of “Istituto Marchiondi Spagliardi”, located between Baggio and the subway stop, as an urban connection. “W 126th Street” is a pedestrian bridge that limits its footprint on the historic area of the institute and allows pedestrians to stop and admire the masterpiece of Italian brutalism designed by Vittoriano Viganò.
