As 2022 comes to an end, we see the global economy has since improved a lot and that has taken a positive turn from June despite the ongoing geopolitical conflicts Elsewhere in Asia–Pacific, the latest survey by McKinsey showed that as interest rates continue to soar, respondents are now almost twice as likely to view the interest rate hike as a risk than what it was seen as a primary risk in September Greater China remains the only region in which respondents most often cited the COVID-19 pandemic as a top risk, followed by inflation

Nonetheless, negative sticks are inevitable and harder to shake off As we step into the new year soon, corporate executives and leaders will ask themselves questions about the current economic situation and predictions for the upcoming quarters and the following year This helps them to take steps to address any pressing issues and resolve major concerns so that companies and businesses can be ready for whatever may come

We battled Covid-19 for two years Now that restrictions have been lifted, daily activities and dine-in resumed and more can now work from office We thrived in the two years and it gives me great pleasure to write to you in this second issue of our Annual Report

ACS (Andrea's Creative Studio) celebrated its 2nd year anniversary on September 29 with the launch of The Enchanted Garden II Collection and a message to "Live every moment with a peace of mind." (Turn to page 17 & 18). The message encourages people to nurture connections in their community and prioritise mental health.

Make sure to take time each day to do something that brings you joy such as

getting enough rest, eating healthily, and exercising regularly, or helping colleagues out with tasks or projects and supporting local businesses, or even volunteering with a local organisation

To thank our customers and loyal supporters, Carte Blanche The Little Gift Shop, a gift-giving concierge concept, by Andrea's Creative Studio prepared a range of great prizes for giveaway during National Day (see page 57) by collaborating with two local business owners with products that are proudly Made in Singapore and Valentine's Day to spread joy and warm wishes (Flip to see page 31 & 39 to view the gift items)

On a more serious note, with the gap of two years, business events made a comeback and tradeshows returned to the iconic venues of Singapore once again Nearly 5,000 people attended the Singapore Business Show 2022, which was held at the Singapore Expo from September 28 to 29 There were 300 exhibitors This business event is for SMEs and Start-Ups looking to succeed in today's dynamic and volatile environment It focuses on business adaptation, innovation, and getting back to business post-Covid in an agile and innovative way Do keep a look out for the next edition (See page 22). Whilst the eCommerce Expo Asia addressed some of the biggest issues faced by the SMEs today and in the post pandemic period, including the ever-increasing demands for transformation post covid (See page 25).

Also our Studio was selected as the digital marketing vendor and partner to fulfill many of our clients' content and creative projects with some as repeat customers View some of our works on page 14.

Later in October, ACS Consulting announced its latest partnership with Info-Tech, a distinguished Cloud HR & Payroll software provider, in a news release The collaboration will also see ACS offer a selection of correlated services, such as qualifying costs, payroll and HR App and Software consulting. (Read more on page 19)

On a more light-hearted note, it's not all work and no play. We conducted fun and engaging paper art workshops during the June Holiday and Mother's Day season at Scotts Square Shopping Mall that had attracted both young and old to have a day of fun and relaxation

Packaging is often-single use and later make its way to the disposable bin So opting for cloth as an alternate packaging method is the greener option At our Little Gift Shop, we use paper materials in our production process Flip to page 43 and read our article on "Reducing Climate & Environmental Impact" and how ACS is playing a part in Singapore's Towards Zero-Waste Masterplan It is said that Singapore's waste disposal has increased dramatically in the last 40 years, and is projected to exhaust the capacity of Semakau Landfill by 2035 There is limited space for new incineration plants or landfills, making this an urgent issue Research showed that brands globally are taking steps towards sustainability and addressing climate change through their products Therefore companies that are certified for their carbonfootprint and are transparent about their carbon-neutral products will be more attractive to consumers.

The last two years have been a beehive of activities for us and nothing fall short of amazing, though situations presented its enormous challenges as well With this, I am happy to share that Andrea's Creative Studio (ACS) is a double award-winning digital marketing studio for the year 2022. Thank you for your support of ACS Digital Marketing Studio and Carte Blanche TLGS, we appreciate the well wishes and to our contributors for their dedication and expertise, all of which have elevated our goals for the year ahead!

Organised by Singapore-based company, BISA, the pre-event offered a sneak-peek into the best of Indonesia's flower festival in Tomohon Mdm Vonny Josefien, the Chairwoman of Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF) Committee at Tomohon City, spoke about the significance of the flower festival and the popular flower varieties that are highly soughtafter for display and floral arrangement

Held at Scotts Square Shopping Mall, the public was able to have their hands at floral arrangement as well Visitors were able to buy Indosnacks, merchandise, and handmade crafts from the booths, as well as participate in flower arrangement workshops conducted by an experienced florist, with the flowers imported directly from Tomohon, Indonesia

Indonesia entertained the crowd with a song in a relaxed atmosphere to get everyone in the mood for the workshop

Over the weeks, there were a lot of activities and a variety of workshops specially prepared for visitors to the event, in addition to the showcase of Indonesia's unique cultural heritage and Indonesian bridal make-up class.

There was also an introduction to the must-visit 2022 travel regions of Indonesia

Supported by Tcartel Bazaar and Partners of BISA, Andrea's Creative Studio was the Emcee and Asia's Representative of this pre-event.

In August, Andrea's Creative Studio made a trip to North Sulawesi, Indonesia to join in the Tomohon International Flower Festival celebration and met up with the Chairlady and the organising team, the Mayor as well as associated members of the TIFF Committee in Tomohon City.

The trip shed insights into the repertoire of Indonesia's cultural performances, activities and the large-scale international flower festival that had attracted global delegates and local visitors yearon-year.

Early August, Andrea's Creative Studio was the Emcee and Digital Communications and Creative Partner of the pre-event grand opening of TIFF at POPPIN at Scotts Square Singapore.

Some of the distinctive destinations of the city includes: Bunaken Island; popular with divers around the world, Bukit Doa; where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and enjoy a great view of Mahawu mountain, Mahawu Crater; a stunning vista of an old volcanic crater, which is one of the easiest volcano to trek for hikers and outdoor lovers, Woloan Village; famous for its traditional wooden built houses and Hot-Spring River; set in a breathtaking natural surround, all of which provide stunning views and a peaceful environment for any holiday goers.

ACS celebrated 2nd birthday at level 2 of Scotts Square with the launch of The Enchanted Garden II Collection to commemorate its 2nd year anniversary on September 29.

Inspired by the pretty Japanese Sakura in Spring, the terrarium add a subtle touch to the coffee table or as a decorative piece on the work desk in the office, with this soothing scene of a mini garden.

Whilst the scenic view in the Print Card titled “Spring” is a depiction of local artist Zheng Yue Wei’s work, with a message that reads "Live every moment with a peace of mind."

Twenty per cent off were given for all purchases on Carte Blanche gift boxes and merchandise in the month of September and October 2022

ACS Consulting announced its latest partnership with Info-Tech, an award-winning Cloud HR & Payroll software provider, in a news release on October 19.

Commenting on the new partnership, Andrea Consulting said: “This meaningful partnership will allow ACS to introduce our clients and partners a safe and secure HR and payroll platform that offers convenience, easy and simple steps in an app to manage all our HR matters on the go.”

Andrea’s Creative Studio attended the physical format of the annual SME Centre Conference that took place at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre after the show's two-year hiatus

Jointly organised by SME Centres and supported by Enterprise Singapore, the event opened doors to industry participants with a strong focus on Navigating the Future of Sustainability.

This year, the conference gathered together business advisors, solution providers and fellow SME owners Some of the Speakers include Mr Benjamin Chua, CEO of Speco, Mr Mayur Singh, Founding Partner of Green Collective and Mr Nigel Lee, General Manager of Lenovo.

Delegates could embark on a discovery session on how sustainability could be integrated in business plans, develop new

capabilities and unlock new growth opportunities, plus the nation movement towards the SG Green Plan 2030.

The SG Green Plan 2030 is a nation collective effort to advance sustainable development, tackle climate change and achieve long-term net-zero emissions.

ACS attended the Singapore Business Show 2022 held at the Singapore Expo from September 28 to 29. The show saw 300 participating exhibitors with over 200 interactive seminars offered, including trend-driving masterclasses The hot trending topics were presented by thought leaders and industry experts to address some of the biggest issues faced by the SMEs today, including the ever-increasing demands for transformation in the post pandemic period. ECOMMERCE EXPO ASIA 2022 @SANDS EXPO

ACS attended the eCommerce Expo Asia, one of the year’s most attended events, with over 60,000 people from around the world visiting booths and conference sessions to learn about new innovations.

The mid-October event featured many trends including Cloud technology updates; big data analytics practices on both traditional platforms as well emerging ones such AR/VR, and new ways to maximise data value and make data driven decisions.

“Valuable insights and really good content We’re able to find out how others are coping with their various journeys and what they have done so far

I think it’s all about interaction, talking to various people and sharing so it kind of broadens your perspective,” Vice President of UOB commented.

This year, not five but six shows were held in the same location with conference sessions, real-life case studies were presented and panel discussions delivered by over 600 industry practitioners and experts from across the world.

AGRIFOOD STARTUP & TOURISM INSIGHT 2022

@INDONESIA EMBASSY IN SINGAPORE

ACS was honoured to be invited as a supporting Singaporean partner of the IASTI event to attend the Indonesian Agrifood Startup and Tourism Insight (IASTI) final event, held at Adinata Centre, at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia Singapore.

Mr H.E Suryo Pratomo, Indonesian Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore gave the keynote speech. The IASTI event saw startups, hailing from the various cities of Indonesia, who were amongst the nine chosen participants to pit against each other in the final round of a pitch battle.

According to a social media statement released by KBRISingapura, "Dubes Suryo Pratomo encouraged the startup founders who attended to remain optimistic and to use the IASTI event as a training ground and an opportunity to meet potential investors.

“Although in recent times, some global companies have reduced their employees in various countries, according to the latest reports by Google, Bain and Company, and Temasek shows that investment in digital sector to Southeast Asian region especially to Indonesia still showed a positive trend,” added Dubes Suryo Pratomo

“Selected startups met with major digital companies, incubator centres and were given mentorship regarding drafting and submission of their business proposals,” KBRISingapura commented

During the IASTI event, invited guests were present to witness BISA, Satu Tampa from Manado and Bali Investment Club signing a business Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

The final results were also released on the same day, towards the end of the IASTI event Three outstanding startups who came in the first to third positions were Spiralife, Healthy Plant, and Technical King respectively, according to the decision of the judging panel formed by various sectors and institutions

It was a special day for Gardens By The Bay as the organisation celebrated 10 years of growth and wonder with the launch of its commemorative book on December 8

Published by Straits Times Press in conjunction with Gardens by the Bay’s 10th anniversary, this book is a must-have for anyone who loves Gardens by the Bay and wants to learn more about its history and future

The book traces the garden’s evolution from the seed of an idea to a blossoming of a People’s Garden, who have contributed to its success over the years.

With augmented reality features embedded in each chapter, the book invites readers to further explore and discover more of the Gardens through a complementary app developed by NCS

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Andrea noticed a need for a convenient and fuss-free gifting service. Build a Floral Gift Basket for Mother's Day

Rounding up our bonding craft workshops held on the 10th of May, the sessions saw participants celebrating the Mother’s Day season together in an intimate setting at unit #02-03.

The session (more than 1 5 hours long) showed participants how to construct and decorate their own Floral Gift Basket

The paper art sessions were meant to be enriching, encouraging and providing a fun and relaxed platform for families to socialise

Refreshments were served to keep our participants hydrated, alert and happy.

A customised workshop for Teacher's Day!

Our creative unit was more than happy to assist this young lady personalise a gift box when she was looking for a present to show her appreciation to the educators in her life. One day, she saw our advertisement poster and although she was not able to come to any of the sessions, she texted us in advanced to book a spot with Teacher’s Day approaching.

We discussed for a while to understand what kind of flowers/plant/leaves would be suitable for her teacher. Finally, we settled on a cactus plant that represents nurturing, strength and perseverance - a reminder of how teachers have an important role to play in students’ lives, not only to help them develop, but also to motivate and encourage them to reach their highest potential

The workshop went on for 3 hours and refreshments were provided to keep our participant happy and productive

DIY Leather Paper Cardholder Workshop

Organised by Carte Blanche The Little Gift Shop, the paper art workshop was held at Scotts Square Shopping Mall during the June holidays to teach participants how to make a paper cardholder using different types of paper, such as leather paper and wood grain

The session was attended by senior citizens. Light refreshments were served while the 2-hour workshop engaged participants in a social interaction as well as encouraging them to stay focus on completing their tasks

In celebration of Singapore's 57th birthday, Andrea's Creative Studio ran a special NDP 2022 Giveaway contest and partnered two business owners for the giveaway

The grand prize winner, Mr Alwin Phipps, was rewarded with a pair of National Day Parade tickets (actual day), and a signed copy of the book "My ABC of Favourite Things" by local author Karen J Fernandez went to Ms Amanda Colbran, and lastly, Ms Zoey Chan bagged home a portrait of the timeless print collection by local artist that was sponsored by Art Line Fine Art Gallery (@artlinesg).

Participants had to follow four simple steps to be in the chance of winning amazing prizes! We hand-picked our top suggestions to put together the best corporate gift baskets The gifting services offered high value customers a range of valuable presents, including handmade potteries, ceramics and lifestyle tableware in a variety of colours inspired by the beach waves and coral coast of Bali Beach.

Klairetea provided tea made from dried fruits bits and herbs, which are naturally caffeine-free, perfect for sharing with family and friends.

Recyclable

For Kraft items, it has durable and strong paper characteristics. Bleaching reduces paper strength and increases its manufacturing costs, that's why at Carte Blanche TLGS, we favour kraft paper for its eco-friendliness, which does not involve extensive bleaching or chemical conversion compared to other regular papers during production stage. We fancy using kraft for some of our design projects, including packaging and shopping bags

Using Precious Resources Wisely

We make sure to buy only what we need and use, to reduce our carbon footprints and achieve a greener environment

No Space For Waste

We use only what we need to make gift boxes We reuse the extra paper by transforming it into confetti and gift tags, which are then sold at a discounted price The paper types we use are made from good to high quality and have a low toxicity level.

Acid-Free Paper

Acid free means - the paper's pH is 7 0 or higher - which makes it alkaline Most commercial printing papers today are acid-free and designed to endure The paper will not turn yellow and wear and tear over time It's produced with less chemical agents, therefore it is environmentally-friendly too Artists favour this paper type for its archival property

The iCare Fund, started in 2020, aimed at lending a helping hand to make a positive difference to the community in Singapore.

The aim of the fund is to benefit lives through distributions on necessities such as food, gifts and essentials, or supporting regular fund raising drives, etc

To make things possible, Andrea's Creative Studio will engage in various community outreach efforts with registered local charity organisations and social enterprises to benefit lives in a wide array of impactful ways

Y ARTS CHALLENGE @YMCA SINGAPORE 09

As a Creative Studio, we have been involved in community service projects with various beneficiaries to give back to the community. One of the organisations that are very active in social service is the YMCA - they organise fun and social activities for participants who want a volunteer opportunity out there.

One of the volunteer programmes we participated in was the Y Arts Challenge organised by YMCA. Conducted on April 9 for the Y STARS (also known as Youth Stars) comprising of youth with down syndrome, the day's activity had the volunteers facilitating the kids and providing the required social assistance to them while they were on the crafts projects.

Through long-term approach, we hope that these special souls are being transformed to be independent and become effective contributors within our society.

A TRIP TO HEARTS@WORKS AT WATERLOO STREET

I visited Hearts@At Work, located a short distance from the Church of the Nativity BV, in mid-June to learn more about their programmes for empowerment and how members and volunteers are making a difference.

Since 1959, and the establishment of the Centre, Hearts@At Work has been working to help members through activities and programmes to create a brighter future.

During a conversation with the head staff, Andrew mentioned the tagline on one of the Special Olympics jerseys worn by one of the trainees: "Let me win, but if I cannot win, at least let me be brave in the attempt."

As a person who enjoys pondering, I think that every slogan is meant to inspire us, encourage us to dream and motivate us. And Ms J, a trainee at the Centre, was part of the Special Olympics Team who had just won a Gold Medal in the Running Competition.

Everyone was proud of her hard work and perseverance, which demonstrated the Singapore Spirit, that had enabled her to succeed. We can all be proud of this accomplishment and honour and glory as the nation came together to celebrate SG57 in August 2022

YMCA FLAG DAY 2022 03 DECEMBER

YMCA unveiled 120 years logo created in celebration of YMCA Singapore’s 120 years of Strengthening the Community Turning 120 years in a Charity Organisation is a momentous milestone, and YMCA has just commemorated its major achievements and Anniversary milestone with a YMCA Giving Gala 2022!

We saw a new update of its iconic YMCA logo with the latest edition of their newly revamped logo, called “YMCA Strong”. Y was chosen to express that the organisation stands with Youth with special needs, by supporting them with training programmes.

The training programmes cover arts, sports and employment, with an aim to provide opportunities for them to learn new skills and develop their talents so that they can live independently and reach their full potential.

In celebration of YMCA’s 120th year anniversary, 2022 is also a year when we reflect on the vital role the YMCA plays in the lives of so many people, since 1902.

This year YMCA has brought back its in-person Flag Day 2022 event that took place on December 3. Like every other normal day where activities resumed, the Flag Day is a special day for the YMCA as volunteers celebrate all that the YMCA stands for - strengthening the community through charity, corporate volunteerism, and helping the less fortunate.

YMCA has a long history of offering help to those in need, and Corporate volunteers will be working side by side with YMCA staff to continue that tradition. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community and it’s also a great way to build team morale, resilience and strengthen character. Whether you are an individual or a corporate, come and sign up your company and join them for a day of volunteering at the next run of YMCA Flag Day 2023

JOLLY CHRISTMAS CARE & SHARE PACK 19 DECEMBER

Following up from our SG56 National Day Campaign in 2021, we visited selected stores located at the Central Business District Singapore to touchbase with the elderly folks of our community as well as St Theresa's Home.

We delivered the festive season's Care & Share packs, consisting of dried food and beverage, which is our way of sharing and showing some support and appreciation.

The food hampers are not a donation, they are gifts bought and shared by some kind souls

We believe that every person deserves to have a special holiday season, and so, the gift hampers are specially curated and filled with a variety of low-calorie and delicious picks for our elderly folks.

We have included items such as Meiji Crackers, OldTown White Coffee, POKKA Houjicha Tea (100% real brewed and absolutely no preservative or colouring) and more.

We have also included a handmade tea or coffee mug made by producer, NARS

PRE-NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION AT POPPIN @SCOTTS SQUARE

To commemorate our nation's birthday on August 9, vendors from Poppin Bazaar teamed up to organise a special celebration for customers and shoppers at Scotts Square shopping mall.

The vendors were out in full force, with games, snacks and sweets, and music drawing in the crowd Families with kids were seen having a great time, taking part in traditional old school games, art and craft workshops and enjoying the special celebration of joyous unity

The vendors also had their fair share of fun at the Vendors’ Fashion Show, all draped in red and white that symbolised our Singapore National Flag

It was a beautiful sight to see Singaporeans coming together to honour their homeland

Carte Blanche The Little Gift Shop, a gifting conceirge concept by Andrea’s Creative Studio, was part of the pop-up fair at Poppin @scottssquaresg in August 2022

Carte Blanche TLGS commemorated the MidAutumn Festival with the Poppin Vendors at Scotts Square. Traditional Lotus Paste with Yolks mooncakes and Tau Sar Piah (pastries with thin layers of pastry) were served with flower petals tea This post-pandemic gathering created an atmosphere of merriment and was a great opportunity to mingle and forge new business opportunties over delicacies. This wonderful event was one of the many memories made during the Poppin@Scotts Square bazaar

CATHOLIC WELFARE SOCIETY VOLUNTEER HOMECOMING 2022 @CATHEDRAL OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD 21 SEPTEMBER

On September 21, 2022, the Catholic Welfare Services (CWS) held a Homecoming Dinner at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd to express thanks to Volunteers who have been an integral part of the various activities and programmes of CWS

Fr Damien Lim led the thanksgiving mass before buffet dinner was served at the JM Beurel Centre Level 3 Hall. Dr. Michael Thio, Chairman of CWS gave the Welcome Address and Mr. Bart Lim, CEO of CWS spoke about the CWS Volunteer Ecosystem

The CWS team expressed their appreciation for the volunteers' hard work and dedication in improving the lives of those in need.

During the dinner, volunteers had the opportunity to catch up with each other and learn more about the church’s programmes and mission works

CHRISTMAS PARTY 2022

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, and what better way to celebrate than with a night of fun, and meet and greet!

After two years of anticipation, Christmas celebrations finally resumed in December 2022. Though the weather was not cold, there was no real snowflakes falling on our sunny little red dot, we had only the holiday decorations that brightened the atmosphere with joy and cheer

The party was filled with music, laughter, and delicious food. Everyone was in the festive spirit, ready to party and mingle

Gifts such as hampers and a travel tour for two to the Maldives were given out Many thanks to the team who organised this wonderful event! It was the perfect opportunity to come together and enjoy the joyous season of Christmas!

This is the first Smile! Singapore Get Together and Thanksgiving Celebration, post pandemic. We gathered for a potluck dinner at Hillview Park, with each guest bringing a dish to share

There were a variety of delicious dishes, from homecooked fried bee hoon (by Joy) and assorted cheese to fried chicken drumplets and sushi (from Caryl).

There were also nonalcoholic drinks contributed by Antroyce We chatted over food and drinks and exchanged gifts at the end of the gathering.

It was a wonderful evening, and a joy to be able to come together and celebrate the festive season as one community after a gap of two years.

TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY @BAYFRONT EVENT SPACE 23 DECEMBER

ACS was part of the Christmas celebration at Bayfront Event Space on December 23. The jolly festive season has always been a special and heartwarming occasion for celebrants, and one of the best ways to commemorate the occasion is to join in and sing along Christmas carols, with a cup of hot chocolate and a few cookies

There were plenty of snacks and refreshments available on premise to keep everyone’s energy up while the crowd joined in the Christmas carols. The Christmas caroling session was also attended by esteemed members from the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore

Amongst the vocal groups were the Nathania Ministry, BCS Vocal Group from the Bethany Church in Singapore, including Vox Cordis Ensemble, formed by the Indonesian Catholic Community in Singapore. There was also Fashion Show with Makeup by Gayatri Artiste Community led by Dyah Gayatri and outfits by aNERDgallery (first Singapore-based art platform specialising in textile arts with a focus in Indonesian batik) The flowers were freshly flown in from the City of Tomohon, North Sulawesi.

It was a great evening soaking up the fun and vibrant atmosphere at the biggest pop-up winter-themed attraction

Andrea's Creative Studio is honoured to bag home the SME 500 Award 2022 at the Award Presentation Ceremony held at Fairmont Ballroom on December 28 2022 The Award Presentation Ceremony honours homegrown Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that have made it to the awards this year.

Guest-of-Honour Mr Derrick Goh graced the Award Presentation Ceremony, gave the opening speech and handed out the trophy to each winner of the award

The Singapore SME 500 Award continues to be one of Singapore's highly regarded business accolade that recognises local enterprises for its business qualities, excellence and capabilities. The stringent assessment process and methodologies includes evaluating enterprises in its quantitative and qualitative aspects, including the ability to further develop the business and

scale its market.
