Letter from Superintendent
Clarence Garner Dear Grand Blanc Community:
Wow, where did the 2017-2018 school year go? I remember my grandparents telling me to enjoy each day because time passes quickly, but I was young then and maybe didn’t listen as carefully as I should have. As I enter my 30th-plus year in public education, I can honestly say that my grandparents knew what they were talking about - time flies, especially if you are having fun and we certainly have had a lot of that this school year in Grand Blanc. We have so much to celebrate and share with you regarding the numerous accomplishments by our students, staff, and community this past school year. Please allow me to highlight just a few of those accomplishments: • On May 8th, the voters in Grand Blanc renewed our Non-Homestead Millage for the next 10 years. This millage has been supported by our community and business owners since 1993 (THANK YOU). • The entire student body (8,000+) and staff (almost 1,000 strong) committed to embracing the Positivity Project to make a difference in their life and the lives of others this year (#otherpeoplematter). (Cont. on Page 2)
