I'm Andrea Brun — an architect passionate about designing spaces that are thoughtful, sustainable, and responsive to both people and place.
My goal is to collaborate with others who value authenticity and seek to positively impact the built environment through intentional design.
I have experience working in architecture studios, where I developed projects from concept to detailed documentation, always aiming for solutions that are not only functional but also beautiful, clean and well-organized.
This portfolio showcases selected work from my studies in Mexico and California, professional studio experience, and a recent freelance project.

Senior Living Complex
Location: Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon, Mexico
Project type: Private complex thesis project
Project title: Nursing facility for seniors with neurodegenerative diseases.
This project proposes a comprehensive housing complex for older adults, responding to Mexico’s rapidly aging population and the lack of specialized infrastructure.
The design incorporates creative mobility, multisensory stimulation, and cognitive engagement strategies to enhance residents’ quality of life.
Located in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico, the complex integrates accessible housing units, therapeutic gardens, communal spaces, and wellness programs that support autonomy, connection, and mental health.
Ground floor plan
Axonometric view
The overall space aims to support older adults by offering a secure and engaging atmosphere that helps mitigate physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges while enhancing their well-being.
Longitudinal section
Room typologies are tailored to different levels of dependence, ensuring universal accessibility through wide hallways, smart systems, non-slip surfaces, and support handrails — all designed to foster autonomy.
Each unit addresses users’ specific needs, creating a safe, comfortable, and inclusive living environment.
Casa Linares
Location: Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico
Project type: Single family residence
Casa Linares is a single-family home designed for a young family seeking comfort, functionality, and privacy on a ranch in northern Mexico’s warm climate.
The layout reflects their lifestyle through clearly defined private and social zones, seamless indoor-outdoor transitions toward a shaded terrace, and abundant natural light.
Regional materials such as cantera stone were selected for their durability and local identity. I led the project from concept through full construction documentation—including architectural, electrical, plumbing, and finish plans—ensuring the final outcome aligned with the client’s vision.

Interior design
Location: Los Cabos, Mexico
Project type: Single family residence
This two-story house was developed by our office, and I was responsible for selecting all the furniture throughout the project—including the entrance, five bedrooms, dining areas (indoor and outdoor), living rooms, kitchen, and bar.
The aim was to create a modern yet warm and inviting atmosphere, using materials and tones inspired by the coastal setting of Los Cabos.
I began the process by presenting a mood board to the client, followed by a detailed proposal with curated furniture combinations tailored to each space.
The challenge was to balance aesthetic cohesion with functionality, ensuring every piece aligned with the architectural intent.
Interior design
Location: San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico
Project type: Single family residence
The name of this project is "Sierra Azul."
I collaborated closely with the interior designer in charge of the carpentry. While she led the design, I was responsible for developing all the construction drawings.
I also selected furniture for both private and public areas, taking into consideration the client’s style and budget.
Throughout the process, I created multiple presentations to communicate materials, dimensions, pricing, and design combinations to the client. After several iterations, the final renders represent the selected pieces that were ultimately purchased.
Construction drawings
Location: Monterrey, Mexico
Project type: Single family residence
One of my main responsibilities at the firm was creating construction drawings for interior design, primarily for residential projects.
The following pages showcase custom carpentry designs I developed, which were reviewed and approved by the firm before production.
This particular project is called :Sierra Azul."

Desert House
Location: Joshua Tree, California Project type: Vacation home
The design of this home integrates indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing architecture to blend seamlessly with nature. Each area is intended to support multiple uses, encouraging people to spend time outdoors and take full advantage of the surrounding views—both day and night. The materials were carefully selected to harmonize the house with its natural context.
The following drawings were developed to communicate detail, design evolution, and cohesion throughout the project.

The exterior holds a series of multiuse spaces. Both the main central space and steps beside it can be used to perform various activities: eating, meditating, swimming in the pool, gathering around the firepit, dancing, to name a few.
The interior contains private spaces connected by an L-shaped hall. The exterior mass reflects that same L-shape being lifted from the ground where nature is allowed to grow undisturbed.
Agri Chapel Scale Model
Materials & Methods Team Project
As a team, we constructed a 1:1 scale model of a section from the Agri Chapel, designed by Yu Momoeda Architects and located in Japan.
The images shown illustrate the ground, foundation, armature, and enclosure, built step by step to gain a deeper understanding of the materials and construction techniques behind this remarkable building. The wooden chapel features a fractal structural system.
Agri Chapel was inspired by Ohura Tenshudou, the oldest Gothic building in the Nagasaki area, and it establishes a strong connection to its natural surroundings.
Our team documented and presented the research and collaborative process that allowed us to achieve close fidelity to the original building.
