In a top class cookery school you will be able to make a four-course meal (starter, first course, second course and dessert) under the expert guidance of a multilingual chef. Your day of nonstop tastings begins at 9:30 a.m. when you meet your local guide in the center of Florence. The first stop is planned in a typical Italian Bar where you will taste 2 different types of coffee and also learn about the Italian toast process. During the tour you will discover the history of the most important squares in Florence were in the past the Florentine use to buy their food. In the second stop you will taste a “panino tartufato” in a delicatessen shop founded in 1885. Your third stop is at the San Lorenzo Central Market, where today the locals do their shopping. Here, we will taste the "schiacciata fiorentina" balsamic vinegars, extra virgin olive oils, “crostini” and two different wines. Siena, San Gimignano and Monteriggioni Tour The tour starts with a stop for one and half hours at a small winery to taste the most celebrated Chianti Classico red wine and extra virgin olive oil, products of this region, and you will relax far from the hustle and bustle of Florence having a snack with cold cuts, bread and sheep cheese. Villa Adriana and Villa D’Este in Tivoli Today’s excursion will take you to Tivoli to admire Hadrian Villas and Villa D’Este.

Built between 118 and 138 AD as a private summer retreat of the emperor. With over 30 complexes and covering an area of approx. 300 acres, the villa was the greatest Roman example of an Alexandrian garden, recreating a sacred landscape. The remains of the complex still shows the magnitude of what was once the greatest villa ever belonged to a roman emperor.

In the afternoon visit of Villa d’Este, masterpiece of the Italian Garden, is included in the UNESCO world heritage list. Erice is an unforgettable medieval hill town with ancient origins in Sicily, close to the port city of Trapani on the island's western coast. The sober historic town is surrounded by defensive town walls, crowned by a castle, and dominates the surrounding area from its mountainous height of approximately 800 meters above sea level. You will have the possibility to taste the famous “cannolo” in a place that is considered today the center of the tradition of Erice. The province capital Trapani has a beautiful ancient city center in baroque style. DAY 2 Rome, the "Eternal City," has been a sacred place and internationally important city since ancient times. The tour will start with St. Peter's Basilica, the major basilica in Vatican City and the visit of the Tombs of the Popes. St. Peter's was until recently the largest church ever built and it remains one of the holiest sites in Christendom.

Contrary to what one might reasonably assume, St. Peter's is not a cathedral - this honor in Rome goes to St. John Lateran. St. Peter's Basilica stands on the traditional site where Peter - the apostle who is considered the first pope - was crucified and buried. St. Peter's tomb is under the main altar and many other popes are buried in the basilica as well.

Originally founded by Constantine in 324, St. Peter's Basilica was rebuilt in the 16th century by Renaissance masters including Bramante, Michelangelo and Bernini.

The Cathedral of Monreale or Church of Santa Maria la Nuova is the best example of the architectural Norman style in Sicily. The most spectacular aspect of the Cathedral are the magnificent series of mosaics throughout the whole interior, which cover about 7000 sq.m, surpassing even Venice’s San Marco.

The Basilicas of Rome This full day tour will be dedicated to the visit of the most important Basilicas of the Roman Christianity.

The tour will include the visit of the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem that keeps the Relics of the Passion of Jesus in the Chapel of Relics upstairs the left aisles. The most famous ones are the fragments of the Holy Cross of Jesus, found by St. Helena on Calvarium in Jerusalem, St. John Lateran. It is here that St. Francis persuaded Pope Innocent III to give permission to begin the Franciscan Order. Nearby is the Holy Stair, the legendary stairs which Christ climbed prior to be convicted by Pontius Pilate, St. Maria Maggiore the largest church in Rome dedicated to the Blessed Mother, St. Lawrence outside the walls, an ancient basilica with a wealth of early Christian artifacts. You will conclude with a brief visit of Coliseum from outside.

Coliseum and walking tour You will begin your tour from some of the sites of Ancient Rome, including the Forum and Coliseum. Its real name was the Flavian Amphitheatre, after the emperors who built it in the first century after Christ. Coliseum refers to the "colossal" statue of Nero that at one time stood at the entrance.

Catacombs, St. Paolo Outside the Walls and the Abbey of the Three Fountains Today you will be directed to the Via Appia Antica, the first consolar Roman Street. It was alongside this road that Paul arrived to Rome to be judged by the Roman emperor.

Later on, you will visit the catacombs of St. Sebastian, St. Domitilla or St. Callisto developed in this area, one of the many underground cemeteries used by the early Christian community.

The guide will lead you where Paul was executed and where in the 7th century the Abbey of the Three Fountains was built. hree churches can be seen within the boundaries of the Abbey. Tradition recounts that during the beheaded of St. Paul, three springs gushed out at each spot touched from his head.

The tomb of the Apostle is located underneath the main altar of St. Paul outside the Walls, the second-largest church in Rome.

Built by the emperor Constantine in the 4th century, it was destroyed by a fire in 1823 and rebuilt, but it still gives us an idea of the magnificence of Early Christian Basilicas. Luckily, the beautiful 13th century mosaic in the apse and the poetic cloister have been spared and can still be admired.
