Layar Andayu ialah produksi tahunan Kumpulan Budaya Melayu NYP, yang menampilkan persembahan oleh subkumpulan Tarian Melayu, Dikir Barat, dan Teater.

Layar Andayu is NYP’s Malay Cultural Group's annual production, which features performances by the Malay Dance, Dikir Barat, and Theatre subgroup.

Nota Penerbit (Producer‘s Notes)

Layar Andayu live is back after a 3-year hiatus of going digital. This year, I believe this year’s Layar Andayu production will be a success with the hard work from the Layar Andayu crew, coaches, casts, performers and collaborators.

This year’s Layar Andayu touches on the impact of one’s actions and the importance of friendship. Each characters plays an important role in the story and each of them has an impact in their friendship The different subgroups - Indra Nila Kirana, Pusaka Seni, Dewi Kalista & Betara Karisma, have been working together for the past few months as performers and as the production crew.

With that, I sincerely hope the audience will be captivated by the performances and understand the feelings intended from the story.

Sinopsis (Synopsis)

The title for 2023's Layar Andayu is "Kawan Atau Lawan" which also means "Friends or Foe". The production tells the story of five friends going for a holiday on an island.

While they were on the island, they realized that they were stuck in a time loop. Every time they try to escape, they will only return to the same place.

Their way out is to explore further on the island and face their own obstacle.

On Tenggat Island, their friendship is challenged. Can these five friends save themselves?

Will their friendship remain or take a turn afterward?
