Ideal Work originated with the vision of Maurizio Pontello, a contractor and concrete craftsperson in Italy who saw the potential for decorative concrete to be more aesthetically enticing and versatile by putting production into the hands of artisans. In 1997 Maurizio joined forces with Luca Seminati, an enterprising young person with an aptitude for communicating the potential of decorative concrete, and Ideal Work was born. Today Ideal Work is the European leader in decorative surfaces. They are passionate about artisanal quality and craftsmanship. Their approach is one of partnership and they are focused on enhancing outcomes through mutual consultation with their network of trained specialist contractors. Microtopping® is designed to create continuous, innovative and tactile surfaces resulting in unique spaces. It is perfect for any project where a unique, continuous and tactile surface is required. It can serve as the main feature in a minimal, modern space or as a complementary element in a classic, rustic or vintage environment. Microtopping® can be customised with different shades and glossy, clouded or acidstained effects. It can be used both for new flooring and restoring existing surfaces. A special feature of Microtopping® is its ability to be used over old wooden, ceramic and concrete floors without any need for removal. Unlike most resins that cannot be applied in external environments, Microtopping® can be used externally in locations such as terraces, footpaths, swimming pool decks, porches and walls.
