With a current range of 320 kilometres and a load capacity of 44 tons, our existing electric trucks are built for local, regional, and last-mile deliveries, combining power and sustainability in every journey. Renewable biodiesel and liquefied natural gas CO2
Cleaner, greener and ready for the road
HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) is set to transform the transport industry. This renewable biodiesel cuts CO2 emissions by an impressive 90% compared to a standard diesel truck. With a carbon footprint of just 0.11 kg CO2/km, HVO delivers a cleaner, more sustainable transport fuel solution.
But the benefits of HVO don’t stop there:
Engine Compatibility: HVO works seamlessly with existing diesel engines – no modifications needed.
Enhanced Performance: Improved lubricity boosts engine efficiency and extends lifespan of engines.
Blending Flexibility: Easily mix HVO with traditional diesel for flexible and gradual adoption.
HVO is driving us toward a more sustainable future, one kilometre at a time, and in 2023, our switch to HVO fuel with key customers cut fossil diesel use by 23,500 liters, reducing our carbon footprint by approximately 66 tonnes of CO2
If you choose to take advantage of one of our emission reduction options, we can of course offer reports that document your reduction compared to if the transport had been carried out with regular diesel B7. In addition, you will receive an annual audited certificate of your reduction.
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG and BioLNG)
Driving toward a better climate is always a top priority for us. That’s why, whenever possible, we fuel our fleet with BioLNG – a low-emission option that aligns with our efforts to decarbonize transportation. In both Holland and Germany, our fleet features this sustainable choice, helping to reduce our carbon footprint. And support your ESG reporting.

At Ancotrans, we combine the power of Breaker, Link (Eco-combi), and Duo chassis with an advanced TMS to create a smart, efficient solution for transporting 20’ and 40’ containers. By reducing the number of trucks on the road, we reduce carbon emissions, cut travel and handling times, and offer more competitive pricing –especially for lightweight containers.
Our fleet of Breaker chassis can carry up to two TEU. This allows us to maximize efficiency and deliver more with fewer resources, benefiting both your budget and the environment.
In addition to the Breaker chassis and our multiple Link and standard Duo chassis, we have also added Duo Trailers to our fleet. The first of six units is now in operation, delivering impressive results with around 40% emission savings while being capable of accommodating three and four TEU. Short term (0-3 years): Reduce the carbon footprint from our production with 5% by the end of 2026 both in scope 1 & 3 with 2023 as index (yearly targets: 2024 1% / 2025 2% / 2026 2%).

Equipped with an electric power pack (ePP) capable of up to 20 consecutive lifts and handling up to 30 tonnes, the electric sideloader provide flexible charging options – either on-the-go while driving or via a 230V plug-in connection. The efficiency of electric power shines through with crane handling times as short as 2-5 minutes per stop.
The ePP offers a cleaner, quieter, and greener alternative to traditional diesel power packs, benefiting operators, the environment, and ecoconscious customers alike.

A journey from horse and carriage to modern logistics
It all started in 1882, when our founder, Anders Nielsen, began offering horsedrawn luggage transport to and from the bustling ports of Copenhagen. What began with a simple horse and carriage soon grew into something much bigger. By 1904, we had become a trusted contractor for Copenhagen’s Freeport, playing a vital role in the city’s expanding trade network.
The company’s legacy has been carefully passed down through generations, from father to daughter and son-in-law, then from son to son, and most recently, from father to daughter. It’s a family business in the truest sense, with a rich history rooted in trust and dedication.
When Henrik Steenbjerge joined the company in 1969, Ancotrans had a fleet of around 50 trucks – and a few horses still in the stable! Back then, the trucks hauled everything from beer to asphalt. But Henrik saw where the world was headed. In the 1970s, he made the pivotal decision to focus on container transport, recognizing the potential of this growing niche. It was a bold move, and one that paid off.
In 1982, we opened our first office outside Copenhagen in Aarhus. By 2008, we had taken our first step beyond Denmark’s borders with the opening of Ancotrans GmbH in Hamburg. Today, Ancotrans has grown into an European network with offices in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands –but covering all of Northern Europe with our extensive network.
