Concept Of Rf Value In TLC/HPTLC:

InTLC/HPTLC,basically,twophasesareimportanti.e.stationaryphaseandmobilephase.

Thegasphasealsoplaysanimportantroleifwearegivingsaturation.

Nowadaysstationaryphaseismostlysilicagelandmobilephaseselectiondependsonthe analyteofinterest.Usually,itcouldbeamixtureofbinary,tertiaryorquaternarysolvents.
