INTERIOR MATERIALS

The Heritage Hotel’s design blends natural materials with Fayetteville’s Native history, creating a welcoming space that reflects the area’s past and character. Materials like natural stone, woven textiles, and terracotta create a distinct connection to the Ozark Plateau’s rugged terrain and historical craftsmanship. These materials are also sustainable and durable, ensuring the design is built to last. The color palette is inspired by the historic housing in the area, featuring rich greens, earthy reds, and neutrals that reflect the nearby neighborhood homes and surrounding nature. This thoughtful selection of materials and colors celebrates Fayetteville’s cultural and environmental aspects, creating a space that feels authentic and rooted in its unique heritage.

SITE CONTEXT

The site is located at 18 Trenton Ave., constructed on a floodplain above a creek. The topography slopes downward into a semivalley in this area. An existing retaining wall on the north side of the building helps prevent water from flooding onto the site.

Upon arrival at the Heritage Hotel, guests are warmly greeted by valet staff who assist with their luggage, directing them to the baggage claim office.

Stepping through the front doors, they are welcomed into a lobby that features a lively bar and lounge area. At the check-in desk, guests receive their room and bike locker keys and make their way up to their accommodations for a delightful stay.
