One of my first engagements as Mayor was attending the Jobs Fair which took place at the Valley Leisure Centre. I was delighted that we were able to promote over 1000 job vacancies from more than 60 employers throughout the Borough on the day. If you’re looking for a job, then don’t forget to check out our new Facebook page @ANBoroughjobs. Our Borough really is a beautiful place and this was confirmed recently when Randalstown was awarded Ireland’s Best Kept Town for 2018 in the Small Town Category. This is superb news and I am extremely proud of all the Council staff and community volunteers who work so hard to keep our Borough looking beautiful. See page 10 for details. In this bumper edition, we have 12 pages packed full of arts and culture classes, courses and workshops so you will be guaranteed to find something suitable for all ages. Remember to look out for our next Borough Life from 1 October, it will be jam-packed with all the Halloween festivities! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer holidays and I look forward to meeting many of you out and about as I serve my term as Mayor.
