DESIGN 8 SPRING 2025
Located at the corner of FAMU Way and Railroad Avenue in Tallahassee, this museum explores how movement and light can shape a vertical experience. The design started by stacking and rotating floor plates to create dynamic angles and open up space for a central atrium. This atrium connects every level and brings in natural light through a large skylight at the top.
The exterior is wrapped in terra cotta panels that reflect the warm tones of the site and shift slightly with each floor. Inside, the stair becomes a sculptural element, painted in a burnt orange tone and weaving through the atrium to encourage movement and frame views. Each level feels distinct, but the geometry ties everything together into one continuous spatial journey.

DESIGN 8 SPRING 2025
This light rail station was designed as a public transit hub that brings together transportation, community, and everyday services. The program includes a concourse, student lounge, grocery store, convenience store, fast food restaurant, workshare space, and business lounge across two levels. It is meant to serve both commuters and the surrounding neighborhood.
The structure combines concrete, glass, and timber to create a space that feels both strong and inviting. A curtain wall system brings in natural light, while exposed timber columns add warmth and rhythm throughout. The layout is designed for smooth circulation, making it easy to move through the space whether you’re passing through or staying longer.
This project focused on creating a space that is efficient, welcoming, and connected to the flow of daily life.
DESIGN 6 SUMMER 2024
Located at 3501 Collins Avenue in North Beach, this project explores Critical Regionalism by combining modern design strategies with Miami’s unique climate and cultural energy. The massing is split into two volumes connected by a bridge that extends toward the beach and over the adjacent park, creating strong visual and spatial connections to the site.
A column grid organizes the structure and circulation, while outdoor terraces and open-air spaces are carved into the buildings to provide shade and encourage interaction. The exposed structure and elevated floor plates address coastal flooding while adding depth and rhythm to the facade.
Bright yellow elements reference the city’s vibrancy and draw from the work of Miami-based architects like Arquitectonica. The project balances urban presence with environmental response, creating a space that feels both grounded in place and open to its surroundings.
DESIGN 4 SPRING 2024
This mixed-use infill project is located at 724 W Jefferson Street and was designed to fit seamlessly into the existing urban context. The building includes commercial space on the ground floor, offices and meeting rooms on the second, and residential units on the third.
The design focuses on maximizing a tight footprint while supporting both public and private use. A series of facade studies explore rhythm, daylight, and visual balance within the street elevation. Clean materials like concrete, glass, and wood help define the interior and exterior spaces.
This project emphasizes density, flexibility, and context-driven design in response to the needs of a growing downtown.
DESIGN 3 FALL 2023
This project was designed for researchers participating in a year-long residency within the Dwellings Community. The goal was to create a live-work environment that supports focus, comfort, and connection to nature.
The layout opens with a kitchen and shared study area, forming a flexible and functional communal space. A sliding glass door leads to a private patio, offering natural light and a quiet retreat. Upstairs, bedrooms open to private balconies, allowing residents to unwind and enjoy the surrounding greenery. The design emphasizes simplicity, clarity, and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
This project started with a movement study, using our own bodies and dance— specifically stepping—as inspiration for form. We captured key poses and gestures, then transformed them into abstract shapes that became the foundation of the design.
The space is made up of bold, expressive volumes that reflect rhythm, energy, and motion. Each form represents a different function, such as stages, platforms, or gathering areas, all arranged in a way that feels like choreography. The design celebrates performance, culture, and the connection between body and space.
EXPLODED PATH
2 SPRING 2023
This project began with studies of the human skull through sketching, modeling, and abstraction. By exploring structure, void, and expression, the work evolved from anatomical observation to sculptural interpretation.
Each phase pushed the idea of the skull beyond realism— transforming it into a mask that explores identity, form, and material. The final plaster models blend organic and geometric gestures, capturing both the rawness of bone and the symbolism of the masque.
This digital study began with a Grasshopper script and was further sculpted in ZBrush and Cinema 4D. The goal was to explore softness, flow, and complexity through form generation and transformation.
