Treating Villa Iolas as a modern monument and starting from the personality and life of the Alexandrian collector, we try to approach the vision of an "Alexandria of Art" in the terms of today's reality. The action begins with a group of artists who are invited to live and create in the area of the villa. The community is encouraged to follow the creative process, as well as to participate actively through a program full of meetings, exchanges, dialogue, workshops, events and also mistakes. The creative process is completed with the exhibition of works of art in the villa and starts from the beginning with a new team that will take action. We maintain the fantasy of the home as a modern cultural center used not as yet another museum, closed and institutionalized, but as a space dedicated to search, research and creation. It is all about an open space of interaction that aims to redefine the daily relationship that artists and the community have between them as well as with the process of artistic creation.
