The Hudson Bay building at 176 Yonge St has been a landmark for shopping for over the need for large department stores has diminished. The Religious and Cultural Centre is located in Cervaro, Foggia. BRICK ELEVATION BRICK SECTION

The perforated brick skin facade encompasses the main circulation pathway within this multi-use building. The perforated brick skin is made of recycled brick, obtained through retrofitting the existing building. The perforated facade creates a semi-private enclosure that acts as a filter for the sun as well as allowing the breeze to enter this circulation space. The perforated brick facade is not enclosed on top, allowing for breeze and sun to make its way to the ground floor. Walking up the main circulation stairs creates a unique experience due to these design components.

The Micro House Project investigates condesed living within an urban context. Each comprimising of 15-16 micro homes as well as a community space. My spection opted for a “neighbourhood.”
