The one who was never lived, found itself becoming a decaying body. The sun is rising, and it feels like years when everyone was around. The solitude and the morning light become one just like it did with the night. Time is more than a word for a marvelous mechanism as the humidity dries on its metal skin. Multiple parts of its inanimate system are corroded. A strange smell is coming from this corroded surface. Its past life is nothing more than a memory, but forgetfulness is just its twin. Who can remember the life it had, when there have been years of solitude?

Using computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D modeling software, the team transformed the generated variations into detailed digital models. They refined the geometries, explored materiality, and experimented with light and shadow. By simulating different lighting conditions and perspectives, they gained a deeper understanding of the spatial qualities and atmo spheric effects their design would produce.

Spatial Integration: With the surreal object as a starting point, the team began integrating it into the main spaces of the building. The entrance, designed to create a strong first impression, featured an otherworldly and sculptural element inspired by the surreal object. This element might take the form of a massive twisted sculpture or an abstract organic structure, challenging conventional notions of what an entrance should be.

Corridor Design: Moving through the building, the corridor became a transitional space that blurred the boundaries between reality and the surreal. Here, the design team experimented with optical illusions, distortion, and unconventional materials. Mirrors, curved walls, and unexpected openings created a disorienting and dreamlike experience for occupants, transporting them to a different realm.

Atrium as a Focal Point: The atrium, serving as a central gathering space, embraced the essence of surrealism in a grand manner. The surreal object was prominently featured as a focal point, towering over the space and inviting exploration. Its intricate details, dramatic lighting, and unusual proportions created a sense of awe and intrigue. The atrium also incorporated elements inspired by other surrealistic imagery, such as floating staircases, suspended walkways, and cascading water features.

The smell becomes stronger as the day passes. Corroded surfaces start to layer into fibers. Moisture is making the redness of the rust an amalgam. Above and below the metal surfaces, an interactive goop starts growing. It exists in an interstate condition between solid and liquid as it constantly coagulates within, and its confining surface starts to forget that there was rust beneath it.

The widget who used to live between function and aesthetic exploration is now a distended membrane. Upon movement, its mechanical latch briefly distorted the resisting membrane. The memory of its mechanical function controls the beats of this new but decaying heart.
