This is my final major project from my final year at university.

I created an Afrofuturism magazine which displayed the African diaspora and the cultural aesthetic Afrofuturism. I interviewed five African and African-American artists, which lead to strong converstations throughout the magazine.

For this photoshoot, I aspired to create a story of a biracial girl who faces the two fundamental concepts of both sides that she belongs to. Being apart of two different races often leaves her feeling torn and uncertain to which she belongs to. The presentations of both sides enable her to live in duality of merging both sides of herself into one. The double consciousness of movement and desperation to fit in either side that she’s apart of.
