Harvard Park Pre- School LTD.
Notes from the management team: After Boris’ announcements at the end of February, we are well aware that schools will be returning. This may mean that if you have not been attending with us but are wishing to return - YOU MUST contact us before this happens. If your child has been absent for a pro-longed period of time, they made need to be re-introduced to the setting, staff and routine slowly. Please contact us if this applies to you and you are looking to come back during the month of March. As per the guidelines, we will be following the routine we have set in place until we as a nursery feel comfortable enough to change these procedures. To our morning parents, our numbers are beginning to increase and therefore staff cannot go back and forth to the gate. Please arrive before 8:45 am - as after this time you will be marked down as late on our register and you will have to wait until someone is available to let you in. We would like to say a big thank you to all of you for being so co-operative and understanding during this time. We are working in partnership with each other and are doing a great job! If there is anything you want to talk about such as help with a home routine, ideas for your children activity wise or even some advice or support with filling in forms as such, do not hesitate to ask us and we will help and support you the best that we can. Brighter days are coming, lighter evenings are starting to appear, the sun is shining on a weekend and we can see more positivity coming - you are doing a great job, keep it up! Lastly, we would like to say happy mothers day to all of the strong females we have in our lives. Whether you are a mum, sister, auntie, grandmother or best friend, you guys are doing an amazing job and keep it up. Have a lovely relaxing day on the 14th! Term dates and closures: We are closed from Thursday 1st April to Friday 16th April. We are back to preschool on Monday 19th April 2021. Make sure you are posting pictures on the EyLog during the half term. We are keeping a track of who posts and who doesn’t and will be tackling this after half term!
Please beware of bring food from home for packed lunches: We have VERY severe allergies which require life saving medication DO NOT bring in any nut products (including Nutella) into the setting. Nutella contains nuts and therefor should not be packed into lunch boxes. Similarly Pesto also contains nuts, please check ingredients before sending in.
Birthdays for the month of March : Happy 3rd birthday to Hrihan! Happy 4th birthday to Dominic, Ignacy and Jan! Happy birthday to Natalie on the 15th! We hope you all have a lovely day!
Clothing and naming clothes: This is a serious issues and needs to be addressed Please write your child’s name inside their coats. We have 4 of the same yellow coats, 3 of which are the same size! To stop the confusion - please use a pen to write their name or initials on the label. Children MUST be dressed in trousers and jumpers with t-shirts/vests underneath. We are keeping the doors open to keep a constant flow of clean air through the room to reduce the level of germs within the building. This means no summer dresses or skirts with tights! Reminders: Follow the flow and wear your face mask: this is very important for you to be doing especially with the spread of infection! Follow the school flow which is painted on the ground - the school are monitoring this and feeding back to us. Please write children’s names in their clothes to stop them going missing. We are fully aware that children will at some point have the same bag, coat or even gloves as their friend. Writing your child’s name inside, on a label will stop things going missing or going home with the wrong person. Please help us and write their names in the label! Thursday 4th March - World Book Day: Encourage your child
to dress up as their favourite book character, if they do not want to dress up - don’t force them. Sometimes the simplest costume is the most effective, use what you have at home to create something new! A yellow t-shirt and red trousers could represent Winnie the Pooh or a character t-shirt will make a child feel included too.
