Notes from the management team: We would like to start by saying thank you for your continued support over the last school year. We would like to say thank you for all the lovely gifts you have given us and it has been a great pleasure in supporting your children in their first steps into early education. We wish you all the best of luck for the future and hope you stay in touch. Also Welcome to all of our new families who have joined Harvard Park!

The front door:

Term Dates and our NEW opening time:

Please remember the front door is not for you to open from the outside. Please wait for a member of staff to open the door for you!

Please remember that Monday 2nd September we are closed and we re-open on Tuesday 3rd September at the new time of 8:30 am!

We are no longer serving breakfast so please make sure you child has eaten before coming in.

Children who do morning session’s are now entitled to do 5 morning sessions due to the change in hours—we will inform parents verbally

Do you need to update your phone number, address or email address?

If you have recently changed your mobile number, moved house or have changed over email address, please come and inform Nicki, Tracey Carol or Amy in the office and we can change this on your contact forms.

Sun awareness: Health and safety: Shoe Reminder: NO FLIP FLOPS or CROCS under any circumstances. All sandals must be secured to the feet by a strap. Please can we also request that you provide a suitable sun hat for all children in ALL rooms as well as sun cream for the children who attend nursery full time. If your child is part time – please apply a good layer of sun cream before they start their session with us.

Welcome’s and Goodbye's We would like to welcome all of the new children starting with us to our Harvard Park family! We hope you have a smooth transition and will be very happy at Harvard Park.

We would like to mention that we have a few staff changes. We are sad to inform you that Lacey will not be returning to us as she gave us her notice in the holidays. She will be moving onto pastures new and we wish her all the best. Lucy will be joining the team up until December to help us out - she is a ex-Harvard Park student and used to work at day nursery too!

Sign your child in and out every day

Do you have anything you can donate? This could be old clothes, technology, material, junk modelling etc. We would be very grateful to receive any donations! 

Please come and speak to Natalie if your child does a morning session!

Have you signed up to parent mail and EyLog? You should have received your activation link for our new ParentMail service.

DO NOT ignore this, you will need to sign yourselves up so reap the benefits from this new service. While you are downloading the ParentMail app, be sure to download the EyLog app!

Notes from Pre-School: Cool Cats Topic: Getting to know you and Sensory investigation Over the next month we will have lots of new children starting at pre-school over the next few weeks. We would like to welcome all of you into the room and hope you have a smooth transition. We will be doing lots of fun activities such as talking about and looking at our favourite toys in the pre-school and at home. Please bring in 1 item from home that you would like to share with us that we can keep at pre-school. We will be looking at what we like and don’t like such as textures and with activities. We will be doing lots of activities which involve our senses such as sensory bags and messy play so please make sure you bring lots of spare clothes with you in your school bags!

Reminders: Children in nappies: Please provide enough for your child We have no spares left; we will be calling you if you do not provide them for your child during their session. This includes wipes, we are doing our bit for the environment and no longer have spare wipes on site.

Children who are potty training: Please bring in spare clothes for your children. 3 to 4 pairs of trousers, pants/knickers / socks and a pair of shoes will be enough. IF you have our spares, please bring them back as we are running very low on everything!

What did you get up to in the holidays? Please don’t forget to share your pictures with us through your EyLog! We would love to be able to use these pictures during your children’s group times to help encourage language.

Please label all of you belongings: We cannot be held responsible if your child’s clothing goes missing and it does not have you name in.

If you know anyone who hold a qualification in childcare and would be will to do some cover work, please get them to send a cv into : info@harvardparkdaynursery.co.uk.

Reminder about 11:20 am and 4:10 pm closure - if you arrive after this time please do not expect full feedback from your keyworker and expect a late fee charge.



Download the app and sign up to ParentMail—we will be checking within the next two weeks as it is essential for you to do this. It is free of charge and takes you 2 minutes to sign yourself up.

While in you app store, download the EyLog app too—this helps makes it easier for to upload pictures and video’s to help us with your child’s development at pre-school and at home.
