The question I get all the time is, "Whycats?Andwhyaretheydressedup?"
Well, no surprise, I'm a cat person. But the bigger theme here is about cultural identity, because I'm still figuring out my own.
I grew up on an island with the Melanau people, but legally I'm considered Malay. The thing is, I don't really know much about Malay culture.
So, I'm on a journey to learn and appreciate both sides of my heritage, kind of soaking it all in and then splashing it onto my canvas.
