For the City of East Orange Parks Master Plan, Wells Appel, along with Toole Recreation Planning, Nishuane Planning Group, Langan Engineers and VJ Cost Estimators, created a master plan for the current operations

and future development of the city’s eight municipal parks. The master plan also recommended possible opportunities for new parks in one of New Jersey’s densest communities.

Anchor Health, Jenners Village Medical Center During the Design Development Phase, Wells Appel was brought in to re imagine the landscape within the confines of curblines which had already been set. Role: Conceptual design, graphic production, project contact, presentations.

Event Space

The exhibit celebrated it’s opening night was an official event for Design Philadelphia, an annual citywide design festival.

Panel Discussion

The exhibit culminated in a panel discussion that explored how student involvement can encourage development of sites like the Reading Railroad.

Storefront / Office During business hours, we stashed the boards away and Next City used their office as usual.

Open Exhibit

We kept the exhibit open to visitors 7 days a week for 6 weeks.

Meeting Place

The exhibit allowed us to have impromptu and planned meetings with all kinds of people interested in the site.

WELLS APPEL | CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION At Wells Appel, I have assisted with construction documentation for at least a dozen different projects. I personally drew each of the details on this page per office standards, I have been responsible for four different planting plans, and I have been solely responsible for drawing one 100% CD set.
