Five Tips for Keeping Your Inbox Organized

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of emails in your inbox, don’t worry – you’re not alone. Set aside time to get your inbox organized by following these helpful tips, and ease your email anxiety! Inbox Organization Tips 1. Categorize folders and/or archive. Develop a system to categorize your emails into clearly defined folders (by project, topic, year, etc.) At the conclusion of a project, archive that folder so all of those emails are out of the way, but still accessible if you need to revisit them at any given time. 2. Search function. After your emails have been filed away, you can use the search function to find an email by contact, subject or content/keyword. 3. Address each email as it arrives. As soon as an email arrives in your inbox, take action on it right away. If it’s something than can’t be resolved and filed away immediately, mark it for follow up later.
