2016: start discussion on ALKS requirements

2019: Agreement on ALKS requirements

2022: date into force for ALKS requirements (if fitted)

Current status ALKS - Mercedes is the first one with an approved ALKS system - This Mercedes approval is only valid for a restricted number of highway parts in Germany - RDW has contact with two OEM’s working on the development of an ALKS to gain knowledge for future type approval requests
