The Executive Board
President
The president is the overall chairperson of the Executive Board. Having two international mother organizations, the primary role of the President is to lead AMSA-Philippines in the local level to become locally and globally competent along with the rest of the Executive Board.
The President’s specific responsibilities are as follows:
• Sign documents and communications concerning the organization. • Confer any duty or responsibility to any Executive Board member, unless otherwise specified. • Convene and preside over all meetings of the Executive Board. •Develop short- and long-term strategies for the work and structure of the organization. • Develop an annual evaluation procedure and subsequent needs assessment for AMSA Philippines. • Oversee and support activities of the officers.
Liaison Officer to IFMSA
The Liaison Officer to IFMSA represents AMSA-Philippines to the International Federation of Medical Students Associations, serving officially as the NMO-President.
The LO to IFMSA has the following responsibilities and tasks:
International Opportunities • Subscribes to all online channels where IFMSA opportunities are disseminated • Centralizes and disseminates these opportunities to the LMOs in a timely and organized manner • Reviews applications which are submitted, and provides input / suggests improvements before these are submitted by the applicant to IFMSA • Approves, signs, and stamps documents on behalf of AMSA-Philippines, where required by the IFMSA • Maintains a database of those who have participated in IFMSA events (conferences, workshops, SWGs, webinars etc) • Orients general members and delegates about IFMSA, as well as responds to any inquiries relevant to IFMSA • Selects, coordinates and organizes delegations of AMSA-Philippines to IFMSA meetings
AMSA-Philippines and Standing Committees • Supervises all external affairs related to IFMSA • Attends OLMs (online meetings), participates in discussions on the IFMSA NMO server, and communicates with IFMSA officials and other NMO Presidents when necessary • Relays important matters in IFMSA to the AMSA-Phil EB • Coordinates between the National Standing Committees of AMSA-Philippines, ensuring that they are updated on important matters and activities, as well as aligned with IFMSA regulations for their Standing Committees • Ensures that all requirements are accomplished ahead of their deadlines, twice a year, to maintain IFMSA membership • Archives important and useful documents, manuals and resources from IFMSA, and disseminates them to relevant EB / members when necessary or upon request Programs • Develops the AMSA-Phil Programs structure with the IVP, while encouraging, facilitating and monitoring enrollment of AMSA-Phil-affiliated activities into IFMSA Programs

Capacity Building • Works closely with the CB Coordinator in developing the CB structure of AMSAPhilippines (includes IOGs, resource center and national team)
Regional Chairperson to AMSA-I
The Regional Chairperson to AMSA International (AMSA-I) represents AMSAPhilippines to the Asian Medical Students’ Association International, serving officially as the Chapter President.
The RC to AMSA-I has the following responsibilities and tasks:
International Opportunities • Centralizes and disseminates these opportunities to the LMOs in a timely and organized manner • Orients general members and delegates about AMSA-I, as well as response to any inquiries relevant to it • Selects coordinates and organizes delegations of AMSA-Philippines to the flagship bi-annual conferences of AMSA-I (EAMSC & AMSC)
AMSA-Philippines and AMSA-I Subsidiaries • Supervises all external affairs related to AMSA-I • Attends EBMs (executive board meeting)

and prepares report 4x a year, to maintain good standing in terms of chapter performance and membership • Relays important matters in AMSA-I to the AMSA-Phil EB • Coordinates between relevant National Officers of AMSA-Philippines, ensuring that they are updated on important matters and activities, as well as aligned with AMSA-I regulations • Ensures that all required participation and contribution to the international officers by our national officers are satisfied • Sends country representative for AMSA-I subsidiaries needing such, e.g. Journal of AMSA and AMSA eNewsletter • Archives important and useful documents and manuals from AMSA-I, and disseminates them to relevant EB / members when necessary or upon request
AMSEP Subsidiary • Works closely with the National Director of AMSEP as the only Standing Committee directly under AMSA-I. • Serves a consultative role, especially during the bidding of LMOs wanting to host an AMSEP.
Internal Vice President
The Internal Vice President is the primary bridge for communication between the presidents and internal vice presidents of member organizations. The national team is composed of the IVP, Council Speaker, and Deputy Speaker.
Since the launch of the AMSA-Phil Programs, the Programs Deputy and Programs Coordinator are an addition to the national team.
One of the main duties and responsibilities of the IVP is:
Membership process • The IVP facilitates all prospective observer member application and promotion to candidate members, and local members. • The IVP also has the power to revoke, and suspend the membership of a member organization with the consultation of the AMSA-Phil EB
Provision of technical and moral support to all member organization including the monitoring of CLMO activities and projects • The IVP has to make sure that all member organization should submit their yearly report • The IVP can encourage activity coordinators to enroll their activities in AMSA-Phil Programs • The IVP shall conduct a needs assessment, focused group discussions, or individual
consultations with member organizations
Relays announcement and concerns • The IVP can use all communication channels of AMSA-Phil to coordinate information and opportunities between AMSA-Phil EB and local presidents and internal vice presidents
Member Engagement • The IVP in coordination with the presidents and internal vice presidents will make sure all AMSA-Phil opportunities will be disseminated to all members likewise, all local activities will be promoted to communication channels
External Vice President
The External Vice President is the official representative of AMSA-Philippines to external bodies.
The duties and responsibilities of the EVP include the following:
External Representation • Serve as the official representative of AMSAPhilippines to external partners and other external bodies • Assume external functions and represent AMSA-Philippines in external projects and events, unless otherwise stated or indicated • Ensure the overall external and public image of AMSA-Philippines as an advocacy organization and a national medical student organization • Maintain good relations with all external partners of AMSA-Philippines
External Partnerships, Collaborations, and Opportunities • Oversee and monitor all external partnerships and collaborations • Receive, review, and approve all partnership proposals, and negotiate terms if necessary • Assume the role as the official signatory in all official partnership documents, unless otherwise indicated • Establish meaningful partnerships and collaborations with external bodies that will be contributory to AMSA-Philippines’ vision, mission, and goals • Extend external opportunities to members of AMSA-Philippines
Secretary-General
(now Director of Administration and Communications)
The Secretary-General is responsible for maintaining and organizing the files and documents of AMSA-Philippines.
The duties and responsibilities of the Secretary-General involve the following:
Meetings • The SecGen mainly organizes and coordinates the meetings of the Executive Boards and the CLMOs • The SecGen creates the agenda and produces the minutes of the meeting • The SecGen leads and collects the votation system during meetings
Communication System • The SecGen assists the IVP in relaying the announcements, updates, and concerns of the AMSA-Phil EB and the CLMOs • The SecGen handles the official email of the organization and corresponds to the inquiries in the email • The SecGen relays the minutes of the meeting document to the Executive Board and the Council of Local Member Organizations • The dissemination of updates and announcements through the different mode of an Application system such as the Google Group (Mailing List), Telegram Channel, and the Discord Server are made by the SecGen
Documents • The SecGen maintains the SEC accreditation of the organization (not done) • The SecGen establishes the standardized forms and templates for the organization

such as the membership form, project proposals, and many others • The SecGen is responsible for safeguarding and archiving the databases, files, and documents of the organization • The SecGen compile the list of members of the CLMOs
Finance Officer
(now Director of Finance)
The Finance Officer is responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities to the Executive Board:
• Oversee the financial operations of the AMSA-Philippines and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices including cash management, financial disbursements of the organization’s operations, etc. • Responsible for entering financial information and maintaining all financial records for projects and for the organization. • Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to the organization on budget expenditures. • Obtain approvals from the Executive Board on all procurements and purchases for the projects and the organization. • Monitor the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the closure of the executive board’s term.

• Ensure that all financial reporting is completed on time and submitted to the executive board. • Oversee the financial audits of all projects of the organization. • Provide financial inputs for proposal development, project management, logistics, and organization-related activities.
Alumni Officer
(now Liaison Officer to the Alumni)
The Alumni Officer (AO) is the representative of the Executive Board to the alumni and is in charge of maintaining communications with the members of the AMSA-Phil Alumni Club.
The AO’s office is responsible for the following: • Facilitating alumni membership to the national organization • Starting and maintaining a database of the Alumni containing their names, contact details, and other details deemed relevant from the LMOs • Updating and communicating with the members of the AMSA-Phil Alumni • Maintain a mailing group for the alumni to update and inform them of the activities of AMSA-Phil • Organizing and coordinating events and projects in line with Alumni affairs • Serving as the representative of the AMSAPhil to the AMSA-I Alumni Club (AMSAAC)
Publicity Officer
(now Director for Publications and Promotions)
The Publicity Officer (PO) heads the publicity and documentation committee of AMSAPhilippines and serves as the link between the internal and external representation of the organization. Specifically, the PO is responsible for the following:
• Establishing AMSA-Philippines’ branding with uniformity in publications through the use of protocols, quality content published as LIKHA and AMSA-Philippines and complete documentation of events, and to be the aid in the growth of AMSA Philippines by promoting engagement to increase awareness and member involvement • Crafting, monitoring, and quality control of all publication materials and documentation of AMSA-Philippines including AMSAPhilippines’ national events • Overseeing the branding of nationwide advocacy campaigns and all official AMSAPhilippines’ publication materials including official logos usage
The National Officers
AMSEP National Director
The AMSEP Director is the coordinating and working body of AMSA-Philippines for all medical student exchange-related matters within AMSA-International.
The duties and responsibilities of the AMSEP Director are as follows:
Establish AMSEP Partnerships • Coordinate with the AMSEP Directors from other AMSA-International chapters. • Coordinate with the exchange officers from other international chapters such as EMSA (Europe) and FAMSA (Africa). • Facilitate the processes involved in the execution of both incoming and outgoing exchanges. • Sign contracts.
Selection of Hosting Member Organization • Streamline bidding process and protocol • Select hosting university to host an international exchange
Selection of AMSEP Delegates • Orients general members and delegates about AMSEP as well as response to any inquiries relevant to it • Spearhead Open Call for Delegation • Select delegates from Local, Candidate and Observer Member Organizations
AMSA-International • Consult and work closely with the Regional Chairperson for AMSA-International for any AMSEP Activity
National Officer on Medical Education
The National Officer on Medical Education (NOME)is a central building block within the international structure of SCOME, as they bring the impact of the federation on the local level, as well as engage on a global scale to shape the priorities and directions of IFMSA in terms of Medical Education.
Thus, the meaningful engagement of NOMEs on both global and local scales is keen on understanding their expected role at all levels:
• Coordinate the national activities of SCOME The NOME is expected to lead, coordinate and sustain the impact your NMO is creating in Medical Education on a national level through conducting national projects in SCOME and/or fulfilling your role as a national representative of medical students before relevant stakeholders in Medical Education. • Support the local events of SCOME The NOME is a facilitator and coordinator of the national network of LOMEs. Their main role lies in supporting the LOMEs in conducting their activities through providing them with input and resources to strengthen their work, as well as ensure constant communication, not only with you but also amongst them to exchange information and good practices. •Promote members’ engagement in Medical Education The NOME implements the vision of SCOME, which is enabling the Standing Committee to be the platform for students to meaningfully engage within their medical education systems. Thus, it requires you to lead initiatives to build the capacity of medical students to become empowered stakeholders, through acquiring Medical Education knowledge and skills in studentled actions. • Represent and collaborate The NOME take place at multiple levels, as you can represent medical students in your country on the international stage in IFMSA, through collaborating with the SCOME International Team and Program Coordinators, representing medical students and the impact you create in SCOME Sessions during IFMSA Meetings, and collaborating as well with other NOMEs on common working interest in SCOME and

Medical Education.
National Exchange Officer
The NEO is the official representative of their NMO in SCOPE.
Responsibilities of the NEO: • Regularly update their contact information on the IFMSA Exchange • Ensure that all LEOs and outgoing students are aware of the Exchange • Ensure that all the contracts are fairly distributed among their students. • Ensure that the LEOs are able to use the IFMSA Exchange Database and are aware of all procedures within the system. • Provide the exchange student with basic orientation, contact information, and any other necessary information about their exchange. • Organize a social program for all the incomings according to the Exchange Conditions. • Ensure that their students, both outgoings and incomings, fill out the Student’s PreEF and Post EF on the IFMSA Exchange Database. • Make sure that all the submitted AFs and CoDs are filled out correctly and meet the requirements of the hosting NMO’s Exchange Conditions. NEOs must send the AFs to the hosting NEO via the IFMSA Exchange Database. • Ensure that the hosting NMO receives all student documentation as stated in the Exchange Conditions. • The NEO is responsible for obtaining the

NMOs’ active SCOPE membership status according to regulatio • Organize and maintain the professional exchange on the national level by revising and evaluating its quality.
National Public Health Officer
The National Public Health Officer (NPO) takes on multiple responsibilities—as a National Officer for Public Health Issues of AMSA-Philippines, an NPO of the Standing Committee on Public Health of IFMSA, and the National Director of Public and Global Health of AMSA-International. Under these positions, the NPO serves the following functions:
As a National Officer of AMSA-Philippines: • Coordinate and/or spearhead national projects related to public health under the name of AMSA-Philippines • Serve as the official representative to pertinent stakeholders in public health such as government organizations, NGOs, and external speakers • Support and empower LMOs through consultation and provision of capacity building, external opportunities, and member engagement initiatives to LPOs and general members • To be knowledgeable about public health issues that impact both national and international levels
As a National Public Health Officer of IFMSA: • Serve as the official country representative to IFMSA SCOPH • Serve as a liaison officer of IFMSA SCOPH to LMOs • Collaborate with other NMOs in the creation of SCOPH activities • Facilitate enrollment of local and national activities to IFMSA • Facilitate the creation of Public Health Exchange opportunities within the Philippines for IFMSA members

As the National Director of Public and Global Health of AMSA-International: • Serve as the official country representative to AMSA-International • Collaborate with other AMSA Chapters in the public and global health projects of AMSA-International
National Officer on Sexual and Reproductive Health including AIDS
The NORA serves the following functions in and out of the organization:
• Serve as the official organization’s and country’s representative to all other IFMSA affiliates and other third parties (incl. Nongovernment and government organizations, and other relevant groups). • Serve as the official overseer and guide on the progress and development of all SCORA related events, initiatives, and projects of member organizations. This
includes providing biannual reports on the standing of the committee based on the implementing mandatory reports and /or surveys from member organizations. • In terms of Involvement, the SCORA NT can become either head or aid local projects and events depending on the Local organization’s SCORA representative. • However, on SCORA related national events, the SCORA NT must be a major proponent/ organizer. • Maintain our “SCORA-Active” status to IFMSA in retaining our rights and privileges on opportunities coursed through IFMSA through mandatory reporting of implemented events, initiatives, and projects in the SCORA Activity Database and/or through IFMSA enrolment. • Be aware of current issues, concerns and situations of the country relevant to SCORA. • Lastly, it is the sole duty of NORA , SCORA NT, to regulate the function of both the national and local constituents of the SCORA committee. This includes pre-, during, and post- event phases of any event, project, and statement.
National Officer on Research Exchange
It is the primary duty of the NORE to maintain IFMSA’s Research Exchange Program in AMSA-Philippines.
The necessary tasks to achieve this include the following: • Signing exchange contracts with other NOREs • Coordinating with NOREs regarding the distribution, acceptance, and general arrangements for the research exchange students • Coordinating with LOREs** in a) activating the Research Exchange Program in their school b) looking for tutors who can offer a research exchange project to incoming exchange students c) welcoming incoming students d) preparing outgoing exchange students for their research exchange abroad • Training LOREs regarding the facilitation of the exchange program
Apart from the research exchange program, the NORE also has the following responsibilities: IFMSA • Attend national and regional [online] meetings • Complete the tasks - most of which are only google forms - to attain voting rights for the general assemblies AMSA-I (J-AMSA) • Promote the Journal of AMSA to members • Hold journal club meetings
AMSA-Philippines • Coordinate with LOREs and provide them with guidance or assistance when needed • Oversee the work of the LOREs and the [newly-formed] SCORE National Team whose roles are as follows: • Deputy: in charge of internal development of SCORE in AMSA-Phil • Project Manager: provides opportunities to learn about or do research • LO to AMSA-I: Carries out AMSA-I related tasks
• Secretary: Maintains official SCORE Documents
National Officer on Human Rights and Peace
The National Officer on Human Rights and Peace (NORP) is the head of all the Local Officers on Human Rights and Peace (LORPs) in the Philippines and is the representative of AMSA-Philippines to IFMSA SCORP.
The duties of the NORP are • To support the LORPs and their projects as well as promote the growth of SCORP in each member organization • To maintain AMSA-Phil SCORP’s active status through national activities and coordination with the SCORP International Team • And most importantly, to promote and protect human rights by capacitating medical students and Filipinos
SCORP at the international frontier focuses on disasters, vulnerable populations, refugees, and ethics. However, this does not limit the standing committee from tackling issues on democracy, the rule of law, education, health, and many others. Ultimately, the NORP, LORPs, and SCORPions (SCORP’s general members) work towards a fair and peaceful world by making SCORP a platform where medical students can receive help and support in practicing their advocacy, whatever it may be.
