Our mission, vision, values OUR BEGINNING At two, my son was diagnosed with autism and severe gastrointestinal issues. To get him on track, my wife and I started to put him on an aggressive gluten free and dairy free nutrition program. The nutritional changes helped heal his GI issues, which allowed for better absorption of nutrition, As a result, he could focus on other necessary therapies. Within three years, our son was in a mainstream classroom and was doing well academically and socially.
OUR JOURNEY After my son's recovery, I was convinced that plant-based nutrition was the right approach for managing inflammation. It became apparent that reducing one's allergen load (such as consumption of gluten, dairy, nuts, soy, oils, preservatives, and chemical-containing non-organic foods) helped the body recover fromk daily stresses. I've dedicated my time to developing snacks free of damaging ingredients and by founding Amrita Health Foods in 2012. Since then, we have been steadily growing.

Our facility OUR NEW FACTORY We've launched our new allergen-free bakery in March 2020. The factory is located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This one hundred-year old building has housed many great businesses, and we are honored to be part of its history
OUR MISSION It is our mission to create better-for-you plant-based snacks that nourish the body and soul. We focus on inclusion by creating snacks free from the top 9 food allergens. We strive to hit a balance between our priorities – people, planet mission, and profits. And lastly, we are deeply involved in giving back to the autistic community by providing employment to individuals in the spectrum.

Inclusion and Awareness
Amrita Health Foods was founded with the intention of giving my son grab-and-go snacks that would meet his nutritional needs as he grew up an autistic kid with gastro-intestinal issues. Young adults on the autism spectrum have five times the unemployment rate than the average adult. Thus, we have committed to helping solve this problem by partnering with agencies and hiring from the autism and special needs community.

Environment
Installing low energy sources like LED lights and optimizing natural lights lets us give back to the environment. We are continuing to find environmentally-friendly ways to run our business such as recycling our wrappers. We have conscientiously created an efficient manufacturing process that aims to have less than one percent food waste. The one percent food waste is then sent to animal farms.
This is just the beginning but we've rolled up our sleeves and excited to partner with you for a more inclusive and better future for all kids!
