Nina Gilin and Gregory Gilin

Your expression. Our designs. Jewelry that’s perfectly you. Gregory Gilin is like no other jewelry store. We understand that jewelry is much more than adornment. Jewelry is an intimate extension of personality and passions — so the individual soul of a piece is as important as the material and the stones. Encompassing a panorama of styles and colors, Gregory Gilin jewelry is poetic, yet timelessly wearable. Dressed up or down, it remains exquisite. It will always make a statement. Nina and Greg design all pieces in-house and oversee production in fine worldwide ateliers. Nina’s inspiration has been nourished by South American, Turkish and Indian traditions. Known for personalized service, we look forward to custom designing and handcreating your dream jewelry. We specialize in one-of-a-kind wedding bands and other made-to-order pieces. We can also revive your heirloom pieces or exchange trade-in jewelry for new treasures! Additionally, we buy silver, gold and antique jewelry, and we offer expert evaluations. Hours: Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

We’re also available for package delivery, to help with car pools, or party transportation. Our fleet includes late-model Crown Victorias and Honda minivans. We accept Visa, MasterCard, AmEx and Discover, plus inhouse charge accounts. Central Taxi is locally owned and operated. Being of service to Scarsdale and the surrounding communities is our only business. We’re proud to personally know many of our clients — and their parents, kids, nannies and friends. Open 365 days a year, we are now open even earlier to help you make those early morning trains. Most days, our hours are from 6 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. With advance notice, we’ll pick you up even earlier to go to the airport or out of town. Call us. Let us help you make your life easier.

Andrea Verdeschi has lived, loved and breathed dance since she was a young girl, and now, with Miss Andrea’s Dance Studio in Scarsdale, she gives children, teens and adults the chance to have fun and learn ballet and other dance skills in a professional setting. The best part of teaching is having the privilege of watching a young child’s love of dance grow and to see children mature into amazing dancers, says Andrea. “We’re teaching ballet, tap, jazz, ballroom dancing and hip-hop to the next generation of dancers, and we offer classes geared for anyone from a beginner just getting started to competition-level performers.” Featuring a loving, positive atmosphere, Miss Andrea’s Dance Studio has relatively small class sizes, enabling professional teachers to give extra attention while infusing an element of fun into the instruction. Older, more-seasoned students are encouraged and motivated to improve skills and be the best they can be. All students may participate in a low-stress yearly recital, showing family and friends their self-confidence and improved dance skills. Hours: Call or check their website for class schedule and studio hours.
