The credo of the Sybelles® ski area is to offer a leisure activity accessible to as many people as possible in 6 welcoming and human-sized resorts. The 4th largest linked ski area in France and 7th largest in Europe has succeeded in its mission.

Since its creation in 2003, the young savoyard ski area is part of an eco-responsible approach where tourism is harmoniously combined with the environment, the people and the mountain agriculture still very present P.12, to allow everyone to access a wonderful natural environment.

Warm welcoming and attentive service in Les Sybelles®.

Concerned about the well-being of skiers and the welcome of holidaymakers, we make every effort to offer the best skiing conditions and propose services to facilitate everyone’s stay. We are constantly working to improve the comfort, safety and accessibility of the slopes! In resorts, new features also contribute to holidaymaker satisfaction.

Extension of the Bobby conveyor belt St Sorlin d’Arves

Les Sybelles®

In order to facilitate the use of the device and to streamline this zone of relations between ski lifts, the Bobby conveyor belt (n ° 23 on the skimap, under the Beausoleil chalet, next to the ESF centre-station meeting point) is prolonged.

Côte du Bois 10 seats gondola in La Toussuire “The Côte du Bois” 10 seats gondola will provide easy access to the intermediate altitude zone of the La Toussuire resort and promote the ascent to Ouillon, the connection to Le Corbier and a return to the snow front of the resort.

With a length of 859 m for a vertical drop of 232 m, it will have a throughput of 2,700 skiers per hour. This first section of € 8,5 M investment will be extended later for direct access to the Sybelles® high-altitude ski area.

New visage for the snowpark area The Sybelles® snowpark area is getting a makeover with even more fun for everyone: signage by level, new equipment including 1 mini boarder (S), 2 lines of blue boxes, 1 line of green tables, 2 lines of

blue tables , 1 red table line, 1 expert rails area and to top it off, a cool area to chill as you see fit face to Les Aiguilles d’Arves!

Chez Marcel & Fonsine This winter, head to Chez Marcel & Fonsine for a meal cooked in wood. In an exceptional family setting, local and quality products are offered to you, all accompanied by a good wine unearthed in the cellar. Thanks to its fast and easy using ski lifts, the Sybelles® ski area offers 136 pistes spread over 393 ha for all levels skiing and ease of movement from one station to another regardless of level or its desires.

Accessible summits With its open domain and high pastures, the Sybelles® offers beginner sliders many peaks to discover from the ski area.

With its slopes gentle, its 360° panorama and its good sunshine, all the family enjoys the pleasure of wide open spaces and breathtaking panoramas of the Aiguilles d’Arves and the Mont Blanc.

Learnings areas 8 snow gardens, dedicated beginners areas and signposted on the tracks of the play areas... In each resort, a sector is dedicated to new skiers. The wide configuration of the snow fronts is ideal for budding skiers: the whole tribe has easy access to all the slopes and is initiated gently.

With an satisfaction rating of 8.24/10 from clients (Sybelles® winter 21.22 satisfaction survey), in resorts as on the ski area, the teams take great care to satisfy and support holidaymakers throughout their stay. The resorts have many infrastructures for children and leisure activities and offer, throughout the winter, entertainments and events for the pleasure of all.

An easy access The Sybelles® ski area offers holidaymakers infrastructures and slopes suitable for the learning of children and adults with covered mats, beginner drag lifts, detachable chairlifts to embark and disembark clients slowly or dedicated green runs.

Caring ski instructors In Les Sybelles®, more than 280 ski instructors are spread over the 7 ski schools in the ski area. Equipped with snow gardens and Piou Piou clubs, Children and adults learn the pleasure of skiing in stages, from star to competition and freeride courses, in complete safety. All the schools offer a children’s club or a direct link with the resort’s daycare center. Parents can spend their holidays with complete peace of mind.

Sporty Ski

#4thLinkedSkiAreainFrance The Sybelles® ski area extends over 393 ha and offers 136 varied pistes all levels including 30 green pistes, 59 blue pistes, 36 red pistes and 11 black pistes served by 68 ski lifts. With 51% of the area covered by snow cannons, Les Sybelles® provides quality snow cover throughout the winter season.

Overview and diversity Wide open spaces, open to the French Alps, alpine and mountain atmosphere wild, the Sybelles® ski area offers 360° panoramas that skiers can admire from the peaks and immersive tables that we discover on the ski area. “A large area that we cannot imagine”: this is what the first visitors say about the ski area, surprised by the size of the area and its diversity.

1,500m drop

Les Sybelles®

The Sybelles® ski area offers a maximum vertical drop of 1,500 m. With for highest point at 2,620 m alt. the 3 Lacs sector with a breathtaking view of the peak de l’Etendard - preserved glacier, the Sybelles® ski area offers an accessible ski to the greatest number with its blue traveling pistes but also a technical ski by its red pistes and black runs, say «alpine» with some nice bumps and slope breaks.

All kinds of skiing Les Sybelles® invite you to discover its environment through the practice of many winter ski practises: alpine skiing, snowboarding, télémark, skwal but also in yooner, snowscoot or other fun sliding gear allowed on a selection of ski lifts.

Also note that access to the ski area for people with mobility reduced or unable to ski in a wheelchair ski, uniski or dualski alone or accompanied by an instructor or pilot.

Snowpark

Freeride tracks The Sybelles® ski area has four freeride tracks, three of which are located Saint Sorlin d’Arves and one in Le Corbier.

Marked, secure and ungroomed, these freeride areas provide a playground for warm up your thighs and have fun in the powder safely. With a little luckily, the skiers will have ibexes for spectators!

With its 4 ha area, the Sybelles® snowpark - located in the central area of Ouillon along the Gaston Express chairlift – guarantee intense pleasure and funny moments whatever their level. It consists of a mini boarder (S), 2 blue box lines, 1 green table line, 2 rows of blue tables, 1 row of tables red, 1 expert track area and for top it off, a cool area for chill in front of the Aiguilles d’Arves!

360° panoramas The Sybelles® ski area offers from its pistes and summits some 360° panoramas as far as the eye can see on the french Alps.

Accessible from the ski lifts and red or blue pistes, three immersive tables invite you for a panoramic reading on the Aiguilles d’Arves, Mont Blanc or the Belledonne chain and the Ecrins.

Itinerary across the Sybelles® Thanks to its accessibility to summits facilitated by fluid and fast ski lifts and with its circulation around its central point l’Ouillon - Les Sybelles® offer ski in roaming that can be traveled throughout the day and thus go from one sector to another while following the sun without might as well practice engaged skiing.

On the free Sybelles.ski mobile app., the Sybelles® Challenge allows depending on the level everyone to circulate on the domain in using the routes that are recommended according to choice of pistes and level (beginner | intermediate | expert).

Les Sybelles®

Skiing is good, enjoying the altitude and the good air is even better for relaxing. The ski area has three relaxation areas for chilling: go to the Snowpy Mountain fun area on the La Toussuire, on the snowpark to watch your friends ride and to the giant hammock near the Gaston Express chairlift in Le Corbier sector.

Printemps des Sybelles® From March 25th til the end of the winter season, the ski area is offering an exclusive special web offer for families to enjoy the benefits of spring mountain holidays at low prices. For a stay between March 25th and April 14th 2023, for the purchase of 2 Sybelles® adult 6 or 7-day ski passes, the 6 or 7-day Sybelles® child skipass -12 years old is free. Another formula: for 1 adult 6 or 7 day Sybelles® pass purchased, the 6 or 7 day Sybelles® pass is 50% off for children under 12 years old.

Skiing but not only… and always cool The resorts offer a whole range of non-sliding activities favorable to escape and relax, findings and conviviality: snow groomer or snowmobile ride at dusk of the night, well-being treatment in one of the spas present in the residences or resorts such as La Source des Alpes and Montagne AromaAcupressure in La Toussuire, pool well-being equipment and A’Kahuna massages in the resort of Le Corbier, rambling with snowshoes face to the Aiguilles d’Arves in a beautiful powder snow, fly over the area in a paraglider or a microlight, or stroll along the snow fronts and in the lively streets of the resorts at the end of the day.

The ski area count 12 altitud restaurants accessible by the slopes and ski lifts and a large choice of resorts to enjoy the sunny terraces, good local cuisine and friendly atmosphere. #6belles tables have been identified and tested: in Saint Sorlin d’Arves, Le Hors Piste offers its traditional Sybel’ miche and its gourmet tapas; the restaurant of the hotel Les Cèdres which every midday opens its rotisserie for a chicken shawarma accompanied by an assortment of mezes; Ô Base Camp in Saint Jean d’Arves savor an mediterranean escape face to the Aiguilles d’Arves; In La Toussuire, Le Sopar restaurant concocts local snails with mushrooms and home-made smoked salmon, all accompanied with a good Roussette de Savoie; Or the Buddha Ski on the pistes of Le Corbier with its burgers, green piste, red piste and black Buddha piste with organic bread and Savoie cheeses.

A committed ski area at the service of its customers

A COMMITTED SKI AREA

The ski area has set itself the goal of achieving carbon neutrality in 2037 through immediate actions to preserve the environment and mobilize all existing solutions to decarbonize and reduce its energy consumption. These actions and initiatives are part of the «Challenge Zero CO²» label.

This challenge is applicable to the entire Sybelles area, with a notion of transversality among all the actors of the resorts. Everyone is invited to do their part to meet the challenge of carbon neutrality.

Environmental observatory, for a reasoned development

The ski area has created in 2015 an environmental observatory. It has enabled a general diagnosis of the 1,550 hectares of the Les Sybelles territory, with an inventory of all the built, faunistic and floristic heritage. The tool is constantly updated and allows us to take into consideration all the environmental dimensions in the implementation of a project to modernize and expand the domain, such as the creation of protection zones for the black grouse or the preservation of humic zones when creating a ski lift or a new slope.

1 00% of the electrical energy used on the domain comes from renewable energy via a partnership with a green energy coming from hydroelectricity,

1 0% reduction in energy consumption and noise emissions thanks to new ski lift equipments, staff training in eco-driving to adapt the speed of chairlifts and reduce their electricity consumption, 2 0% reduction in artificial snow production thanks to optimized grooming management via the Snowsat onboard connected solution on the grooming machines and targeted production of artificial snow according to needs allows a 10% reduction in water consumption, 2 1% less consumption on grooming machines thanks to eco-driving and the choice of even more economical machines.

Natural resource management, eco-responsible equipments, certification and sustainable investments... The Sybelles ski area is committed, season after season, to the implementation of actions in favor of the environment.

Responsible and sustainable tourism actions, Les Sybelles® reconciles accessible skiing and respect for the environment, committing to sustainable actions to reduce the impact of tourism activity and achieve carbon neutrality in 2037.

SUSTAINABLE PROJECTS IN SKI RESORTS Sybelles® quality accommodation Label In order to initiate an ecological transition in accommodation, this label includes new criteria for certification. Now, all the accommodation providers who commit themselves to a green energy supplier and install eco-foam water reducers on all the taps of the apartments they manage will be able to claim this label.

The ski area invests in sustainable accommodation With the MMV Étoile des Sybelles residence-club in Le Corbier, the first modular wood construction building inaugurated in 2022, and Residence & Spa CGH L’Alpaga in La Toussuire, which opened in 2021 through a SCPI Montagne financement, the Sybelles ski area and its operators are continuing to invest in environmentally friendly accommodation on a long-term basis for more responsible tourism and to maintain a sustainable business for these new tourist beds.

Support for the Nebeday association Since 2019, the Sybelles® ski area support the association «Les amis de Nebeday» in Senegal. 50,000 trees are planted around the houses in the villages. More than 8,000 Senegalese children are taking part in and following this pedo-educational program to raise their awareness of the environment and climate issues.

Next step: renovation in the resorts.

The resort of La Toussuire is part of the France Ingénierie plan with the renovation of buildings dating from the 1960s and 1970s in the pioneering resort of Les Sybelles. With the financial support of the Banque des Territoires, this program aims to assist touristic owners in thermal renovation to reduce the energy consumption of their property. A support of advices on layouts and simple solutions is provided by La Maison des Propriétaires.

Situated on a large and sunny plateau, La Toussuire offers a wide range of accommodation and direct access to the Sybelles ski area, with great panoramic views of the Alps and both short and technical or long runs. The heart of the resort and its multitude of activities make it an emblematic destination.

Les Bottières

Authentic mountain village, the resort is a real haven of peace offering a return to the roots. It is made up of peaceful chalets and offers 6 ski runs dedicated to beginners. Gateway to the Sybelles ski area towards the La Toussuire sector with a nice difference in altitude, it cultivates its outdoor and sporty spirit with freerando or snowshoeing.

Saint-Colomban-des-Villards

Mountain village located in an authentic and preserved valley, it offers charming hamlets with houses warmly packed between them. Directly linked to the Sybelles ski area by long slopes, Saint-Colomban-des-Villards offers an atmosphere of the “Grand Nord” with snowshoeing along a river, freerando with a view of the Belledonne mountain range or even rejuvenation in front of the Mont Blanc.
