Welcome from Head of House Hello there, my name is Simon Mounde and I will be your Head of House over the next academic year at St Thomas’. It is my utmost pleasure to welcome you back to what will, undoubtedly, be another successful year at Ampleforth’s premier boarding house. I would like to take this opportunity to compliment you all on your exquisite taste in choosing St Thomas. Whether you’re in your first year or your last, the message is clear: at St Thomas’, you are home. To those of you joining us in Year 9, you may well be feeling a cocktail of emotions over the coming days. I urge you to channel this energy into making the most of your first year at St Thomas’; befriend people from all walks of life and throw yourself headfirst into the wide array of extra-curricular activities available. Challenge yourself, grow, and make friends for life. I keenly look forward to seeing each and every one of you walk back through the doors of St Thomas’ in just a few days’ time.
